Thank you to everyone that participated in our blood drive! Your generous donations are more than just a gift—they’re a lifeline. 💉❤️ Why is donating blood so crucial? - Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. - 1 in 7 people entering the hospital will need blood. - Blood donations are needed every day, as blood cannot be manufactured and only lasts a few days. Your contributions are helping to ensure that blood is available when it’s needed most. Thank you for stepping up and making an impact on our community. Let's continue to make a difference together! https://lnkd.in/djVuV_X

Head over to my Facebook page, I Am Good Enough Now, to get the full breakdown! Almost Doing Good launches October 8th—don't miss out! #AlmostDoingGood #CaseStudy #BookLaunch

What do Domino's Pizza and the American Red Cross have in common? Answer: They both have an app that tracks your orders/donations and updates you every step of the way - from start to finish that is eerily similar and, for some reason, addicting to track. I pass by Piedmont Hospital Marcus Heart and Vascular Center every day on my way home, and lately, I've wondered if I can donate blood there. I have donated to the American Red Cross before (and know there is a donation center around the corner from the hospital), but do hospitals accept blood donations regularly? And if not, why not? I've included a link to how the Red Cross describes the blood donation process, but if you have any specific insight into my question, comment below.

As Donate Life month approaches, it's a time to reflect on the incredible impact of organ donation and the lives it saves. Organ donation isn't just about giving someone a second chance; it's about giving them hope, love, and the opportunity to continue their journey. Each donated organ is a gift of life, a beacon of light in someone's darkest hour. It's a chance to transform grief into purpose, as families find solace in knowing that their loved one's legacy lives on through the gift of life. Churches can play a pivotal role in promoting organ donation within their communities. They serve as pillars of support, fostering a culture of compassion and giving. By advocating for organ donation, churches can inspire their congregations to make a profound difference in the lives of others. Organ donation aligns with the core values of many faiths, emphasizing the importance of selflessness and caring for others. It's a tangible way for churches to live out their mission of love and service, spreading hope and healing to those in need. As Henri Nouwen beautifully expressed, "Pay attention to the people God puts in your path if you want to discern what God is up to in your life." When we open our hearts to the needs of others, we align ourselves with God's greater purpose. Organ donation is a powerful embodiment of this principle, as it allows us to be vessels of God's grace and mercy. By participating in organ donation, we not only honor the lives of those who have passed but also affirm our commitment to serving humanity. Together, we can embrace the spirit of Donate Life month and continue to heed the call to love and care for one another, for in doing so, we become instruments of God's peace and healing in the world. #DonateLife #OrganDonation #OrganDonor
Life is a precious gift - one that you can pass on to those in need. Donation makes it possible for organs and tissues that no longer serve you to bring hope and healing to countless individuals. Register to #BeTheGift of life at DonateLifeTN.org. #DonateLife #OrganDonation #OrganDonor
