Did You Know??? CBCO annually supplies their 45 area hospitals with over 60,000 units of blood It takes an average of 200 donations each operating day to meet local patient needs Whole blood donors can give every 56 days (6 x yr) but CBCO’s average donor gives less than twice a year Almost 40% of the population is eligible to give blood but only about 3% actually donate Losing high school/college drives in the summer can lead to critical shortages which is why we rely heavily on community/event blood drives. The community needs not only First Responders help but also your help with your donation of blood. Please click the following link https://lnkd.in/g2jzuCqv to schedule your donation. ozarkfire.org

What do Domino's Pizza and the American Red Cross have in common? Answer: They both have an app that tracks your orders/donations and updates you every step of the way - from start to finish that is eerily similar and, for some reason, addicting to track. I pass by Piedmont Hospital Marcus Heart and Vascular Center every day on my way home, and lately, I've wondered if I can donate blood there. I have donated to the American Red Cross before (and know there is a donation center around the corner from the hospital), but do hospitals accept blood donations regularly? And if not, why not? I've included a link to how the Red Cross describes the blood donation process, but if you have any specific insight into my question, comment below.
