Anyone remember "A Day Without a Whopper"? Back in 2019, McDonalds and Burger King put their rivalry to the side for a good cause. At the time, McDonald's donated $2 to childhood cancer charities for every Big Mac purchased. So, Burger King worked with them to host "A Day Without a Whopper." For one day, Burger Kings across several countries took the Whopper off their menu to encourage people to buy a Big Mac from McDonald's instead. It's a great lesson on the power of co-branding, and a reminder that out-of-the-box partnerships can make a huge impact. #BrandPartnerships #CoBranding #BrandStrategy

2023 was a remarkable year for Howard's Team as we became a National Team for the National MS Society. Check out the infographic from our Impact Report and what we achieved this past year. Howard's Team: - Raised $388,000 with 98 members participating in 5 Bike MS Events. - Became a National Team (#3) and raised $3MM in lifetime fundraising. - Established Advisory Board and transitioned leadership of HT SoCal. - Added 9 new MS Champions. - 4 members serve as National MS Trustees. - SoCal raised over $100,000 through our special events. - SoCal and Kentucky earned #1 Top Fundraising Team Honors. - Established Teen Team which expands and collectively raises over $23,000. Partially because of these achievements, the MS Society can provide improved access to personalized, affordable, high-quality MS healthcare. This is most notably seen in the number of therapies available to treat MS which is now at 26. There were only 8 when we started Howard's Team. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the entire team at the MS Society, and specifically Sarah Meike, Renata Sahagian, and Claire King, for creating a platform where Howard's Team can thrive. How many people does our charity The Lewis Foundation UK support? It is a question we get asked a lot and was covered in the recent podcast episode with All Things Business UK by Ben Thomas As you will have watched our charity has been collaborating with local business Sol Retail showcasing how businesses can donate end of line/excess/unwanted stock to our charity which can be repurposed and sold via our outlet stores, as a mechanism to fund our work to support cancer patients. When your supporting 17 hospitals across the Midlands area and looking at giving away an average of 2000 care packages a month for free, being able to not only provide these packages but the wide variety of choice we offer requires building our financial sustainability. This avenue has been one way we have been able to do just that ❤️ With hospitals around the UK asking for our support, we can only do this with the financial investment to support this. The development of the surplus stock campaign has been one avenue we can really explore that is helping to support our work, build capacity and grow.
