When it comes to your environmental impact, what you don't do can be as important as what you do... Here are ways we can make an impact right where we live: 💙Take a trash challenge: Vow to pick up 5 pieces of trash on an outing. 💚Visit a place you love and pick up litter (inside and outside) 🤍Do a trash pick up from the sidewalk, curb and street on your block. 💙Unplug appliances not in use. 💚Switch to eco-friendly cleaning products. 🤍Install enerty-saving light bulbs. 💙Add a bird feeter or birdhouse to your yard. 💚Plant something green! 🤍Set up a compost bin. 💙Use reusable water bottles and coffee cups. 💚Use reusable grocery bags (store them where you'll remember them). 🤍Consider carpooling to work. 💙Show appreciation for the planet: visit the park, beach, or hike a trail.

It’s Earth Day today and I've been reflecting on our planet and the ways I can contribute to its well-being. It's incredible to think about the beauty and diversity of Earth, from the lush forests to the vast oceans and everything in between. I as someone who grew up In countryside I’ve always felt attached to the soil, the earth the trees and the animals and a lot of my values are rooted into social justice that is connected to land, landownership and how we protect the land. This Earth Day, I'm committing to making small changes in my daily life to continue to reduce waste and minimize my carbon footprint. Whether it's using reusable bags at the grocery store, opting for public transportation, or supporting local farmers' markets, every little action counts. Earth Day should not just be celebrated on April 22nd, but every day by appreciating nature and taking steps to protect it. Be it by recycling more, reusing more, supporting the earth, protecting animals and habitats together, we can make a difference and ensure that future generations inherit a healthy and thriving planet.
