At Doodie Calls, we share the values of integrity, fairness, commitment, and accountability that guide the Florida Sherriff's Office. That's why we're proud to have donated to their organization and received this recognition. Beyond sanitation solutions, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. Supporting law enforcement helps ensure the safety and well-being of all Floridians.

Maryland will be soon joining 11 other states and Washington DC in having paint recycling drop-off sites thru PaintCare. According to MD Senator Chris West, “As much as 10% of paint purchased goes unused.” This will help keep all that leftover paint out of landfills and sitting in garages, and instead put it to a better use through recycling and reuse. The program will be funded by a fee collected when paint is purchased. This is instead of charging a fee at the drop-off site as a way to further increase recycling rates. https://lnkd.in/e68tcYzK Great way to make sure leftover paint becomes new paint instead of landfill waste or being illegally dumped. Come on #Pennsylvania, let's get on board this! #circularEconomy #ExtendedProducerResponsibility #EPR #recycling
Households and businesses across Maryland will soon be able to recycle their leftover paint thanks to a new law that was approved by the Maryland Legislature and signed on Thursday, May 9, by Governor Wes Moore. Maryland is the 12th state (in addition to the District of Columbia) to adopt this program, which will be operated by PaintCare, a nonprofit organization created by the paint industry through the American Coatings Association. Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. It is a week where we try to give back and we always end up getting so much more than we give. Great job Lauren and the entire Serve Week support team. #foundrycommercial #itspersonal #theocho #serveweek2024

As we RRR, 2023 LP Fellows Anna Parisi and M. Silin encourage us to think deeply about how we can honor the land we’re on and connect with the communities we’re in. How can we practice abundance and preservation through land stewardship and community care? To investigate this, we must turn to our history of honoring, beautifying, and protecting the land we occupy; a history that runs deep across Black and Brown communities in Bed-Stuy. Join us as we open up land. zine #1: The Anti-Capitalist Approach to A Self-Sufficient Bed-Stuy: Lenape Stewardship As A Model for Black and Brown People, created by Anna Parisi and M. Silin: “Today, abundance and communal care in Bed-Stuy might look like fully stocked community fridges, well-resourced mutual aid organizations, food pantries, etc., which feed entire families and communities. The understanding and spirit of abundance is evident in these public spaces – there is enough for everyone if we share resources and believe in solidarity over charity, abundance over capitalism.” Think & Reflect: Bed-Stuy can be self-sufficient. How?

It's the final countdown! RAID's volunteer champions for justice run THIS SUNDAY. Can you support them to the finish line? Your donation goes a long, long way ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eeCB4FHj We are a small team of lawyers and researchers who persevere with cases for as long as they take. We really push for remedy and systematic change from companies. This fundraiser on our special 25th anniversary year is for the work of RAID and the local activists, grassroots organisers and frontline monitors documenting corporate harms in real time. It is only through their courage and tireless work that we are able to hold companies to account. Our aim is to continue carrying out investigative research and pursuing legal cases to challenge multinational companies. We want stronger regulations to stop corporate misconduct. We diligently ensure that human impact is at the centre of urgent discussions on net zero and global supply chains. #royalparks #royalparkshalf #halfmarathon #charityrun #charityrunner #charityfundraiser #holdcompaniestoaccount #netzero #climatecrisis #criticalminerals
