AI, Election Integrity, & Information Quality 1. We cannot decouple trusted AI with information integrity. 2. Without measurement infrastructure and scientifically informed metrics and standards, we won't get ahead of this eventuality. #deepfakes #datastandards #responsibleAI #democraticAI #electionsecurity #electionintegrity #disinformation #informationquality #TrustedAI #nationalsecurity #generativeAI #artificialintelligence

Thanks for sharing Doowan Lee. Leaving this flawed tool active in the public strikes me at highly unethical. Maybe it gets better over time but releasing other experimental tech into the public seems unacceptable in nearly every field. Also seems like bad business - how does Microsoft overcome the loss of trust in their product? “The tendency to produce misinformation related to elections is problematic if voters treat outputs from language models or chatbots as fact,” Josh A. Goldstein, a research fellow on the CyberAI Project at Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology, tells WIRED. “If voters turn to these systems for information about where or how to vote, for example, and the model output is false, it could hinder democratic processes.”

To release an AI product with a complete lack of integrity, is a complete lack of Corporate Integrity. Only a fool releases an untrustable product like Copilot unless they want to subvert their Customers from the path of truth. Only a fool uses an untrustworthy product. Reject Copilot as a failed product! Microsoft clearly thinks this is OK, in the same way it thinks it was OK to produce applications that are completely insecure. Zero Corporate Integrity is simply UNACCEPTABLE.

Do not use AI for sensitive topics.

The rush to implement AI has its cosequences and requires the human mind to think things through completely to the most finite detail before unleashing it in such things as elections and military applications. To do now or not to do now, that is the question.
