Delivering mechanical and electrical excellence with a reputation for quality, integrity, and sustainability.
As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, it's important to remember that our commitment to mental well-being is a continuous journey. Over the last few weeks, we've discussed the unique pressures in our industry, from fast-paced projects to procurement issues. We've explored how these stressors can impact our mental health, reminding us that it's okay to acknowledge when we're struggling. We celebrated wellness together, sharing insights from experts and enjoying moments of team connection on our wellness day. Supporting each other in small daily actions can make a big difference. Remember, checking in on someone could be the highlight of their day. It's not just about asking if they're okay. It's about actively listening, being fully present, and offering support without judgment every month, not just throughout May. #mentalhealthmonth #teamwellness #continuouscare

MSc Biomechanics ECB level 4 (spin, fielding and wicket keeping specialist) Director of Cricket for Middlesex Schools Cricket. Twitter @acricketcoach motor preferences (why we have individual techniques)ActionTypes 💢
When batting and fielding there is a specific timing that your brain wants to use in order to prepare to move and perceive information Batting coaches tend to believe that triggers are to be completed BEFORE ball release. For #walkingbottom #terrestrial batters with a #Distal or #Global #motorpreference this is the case and they can stay still too but they move from a Wide base with more knee flexion into a narrower one with a little less knee flexion For #walkingTop #Aerial batters with a #Rhythmical motor preference the timing of the movement is AFTER ball release or the ball is struck Watch this interview with #rickyponting https://lnkd.in/eUP7xZeB where he talks very specifically about a Bob Woolmer no foot drill which is used to help develop late contact amongst other things, but this was used to change the timing of his movements, listen to what he says about his trigger and this drill in particular Watch Jonty Rhodes and the timing of his split step with when the bat strikes the ball and be is in the air at contact and organises his body in mid air for the next movement he also triggers the left foot to lane just post release like ponting For #Conceptual #motorProfiles their timing is ending at release of the ball or when the ball is struck so they can stay in movement The more people realise the differences the better as technical coaching in the Uk is a little rigid with the coaches one size fitting all We can do better and SHOULD do better, with @actiontypes I can profile the player and physically show which trigger works for that individual and how to adapt when required #actiontypes #individualisation #batting #cricket #fielding #preparationphase #perceptionActionCycle #motorSignatures
