Silver price surge boosts financial performance of Terronera mine #Silver price increases are boosting the financial performance of Vancouver-based Endeavour Silver Corp's projects, particularly its flagship US$271 million #Terronera mine in Mexico’s Jalisco state, where the company has advanced in the development and production phases. “In Q2, the #price of silver experienced a significant increase, reflecting a renewed interest and confidence in precious metals. This upward trend not only underscores the strategic importance of our investments and operations but also aligns with our long-term vision for growth and value creation,” the company said in a note to investors. Silver has seen a bullish streak this year. The metal was trading at US$29.82/oz on Thursday, up almost 19% from a year ago. Riversgold Limited (ASX:RGL) chairman David Lenigas sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss excellent results stemming from a site visit to sample multiple prospects at its Tambourah Project. During the visit Riversgold sampled multiple prospects at Tambourah, located 160 kilometres southeast of Port Hedland in Western Australia. The visit returned exceptional rock chip results, including 101 g/t #gold and 21.78% #copper. These findings validated historical exploration results and confirmed an anomalous copper and gold trend over a 12-kilometre strike length. Significant results included a rock chip from the Lone Star prospect with 101 g/t gold and 4.1% copper, and samples from the Hawkstone prospect yielded 21.78% copper and 3.3 g/t gold, and 16.78% copper and 2.4 g/t gold. It was reported on Thursday that the Skouries gold mine in northern Greece is claiming to have a proven deposit of 740,000 tons of gold and copper. It is not clear how much of this is gold, but all the gold extracted in the whole of our existence is only about 230,000 tons. Not only could this mega-bonanza wreak economic havoc, turning gold from scarce-and-expensive to abundant-and-cheap, but also environmental havoc. Extracting a single gram of gold from a mine produces 6 tons of slurry/waste. A tonne is ONE MILLION GRAMS. Extraction is proposed to begin in 2025.

Sunstone Metals Limited (ASX:STM) managing director Patrick Duffy is back in the Proactive studio to discuss an imminent drilling campaign over the priority Limon discovery at the Bramaderos project in southern Ecuador. The precious and base metals explorer will begin diamond drilling next week at the gold and silver prospect, where it will target an area of known high-grade mineralisation. Recent trenching in this area produced promising results, such as 14.95 metres at 4.8 g/t gold, including 6.2 metres at 10.7 g/t, 3.9 metres at 8.4 g/t gold, and a high-grade segment of 1.9 metres at 16.2 g/t. Sunstone’s initial drilling campaign will focus on the Central Shoot and Western Target, about 1 kilometre apart, suggesting the potential for a substantial shallow high-grade resource at Limon.
