Far East Gold Ltd (ASX:FEG, OTC:FEGDF) managing director Shane Menere sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss additional high-grade gold assay results – including 20 metres at 7.57 g/t #gold from the Victory vein – in its maiden scout drilling program at the Woyla Copper Gold Project’s Aloe Rek prospect area. Key findings include a 20-metre intersection at 7.57 g/t gold from the Victory vein in hole ARD-009, which also contained 8.5 g/t #silver, yielding a 7.67 g/t gold equivalent. Within this section was 11 metres at 13.45 g/t gold and 13.68 g/t silver, and 3.3 metres at 31.64 g/t gold and 26.8 g/t silver. The project, known for its prospective undrilled copper-gold play, now boasts an increased strike length of 18.5 kilometres. The mineralisation remains open at depth and along strike to the south. Australian Gold and Copper Ltd (ASX:AGC) managing director Glen Diemar joins Meagan Evans in the Proactive studio to discuss the discovery of the widest zone of high-grade mineralisation reported to date at its Achilles site in the southern Cobar Basin, NSW. Recent drilling results from six of nine holes showed significant findings, including 16 metres at 18.5% lead+zinc, 0.4 g/t #gold, 31 g/t #silver and 0.8% #copper from 91 metres. The highest grades were 47.1% lead+zinc, 761 g/t silver, 4.1 g/t gold and 2.5% copper in various intervals of hole A3RC038, the most northern hole drilled. The discovery, now defined by 12 drill holes over half a kilometre, remains open in multiple directions. All 12 holes exhibited varying mineralisation levels, indicating substantial near-surface and depth potential. Yandal Resources Ltd (ASX:YRL) managing director Chris Oorschot joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss new #gold exploration targets identified in regional soil sampling in the northwest area of the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project in Western Australia. The review indicated gold presence extending beyond the current drilling limits at the Oblique and Flushing Meadows prospects and highlighted new early-stage exploration targets. Additionally, potential lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) anomalies were identified, suggesting opportunities for #BatteryMetal mineralisation. The company also completed diamond drilling at the New England Granite Prospect, where both holes successfully intersected the granite contact, revealing signs of deformation and alteration. It now intends to follow up on the soil anomalies identified and plans to extend soil sampling over the emerging Caladan target area. Surface rock chip sampling by previous explorers, including Sumitomo and Anglo American, revealed significant copper grades with highlights such as 36% copper (Sumitomo), 25.4%, 15.2% and 11.2% copper (Anglo American). The Fiery Creek Project encompasses prospects like Fiery Creek, Twilight, Hellfire and Piper and is underexplored but in a geologically favourable area analogous to known copper deposit regions within the Mount Isa Inlier. The project has seen limited historical drilling with anomalous copper results and extensive hematite alteration indicative of a fertile copper system. Northern Star Resources posted 400,825 ounces of gold sold in the March quarter at an all-in sustaining cost of $1,844 an ounce. The company said All-in costs of $2,620 were higher than a year ago driven by the continuation of capital growth projects across the Group, led by the KCGM Mill Expansion Project. Northern Star said it remains on track to deliver guidance and despite a challenging March quarter that was impacted by significant weather events, Gold sold is expected to significantly increase in the June quarter.
