A new toolkit is now available to help funders support NQDs. As defined by the Canada Revenue Agency - Agence du revenu du Canada, a non-qualified donee (NQD) is a non-profit organization without charitable status. NQDs make a difference and have a positive impact on communities. However, without charitable status, they miss out on advantages like tax exemptions and eligibility to receive gifts from other registered charities. Fortunately, with the guidance issued by the 2022 federal budget, it is now easier for funders to support these organizations. With this in mind, four funders — Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon, @Inspirit, Laidlaw Foundation and McConnell Foundation — have created a toolkit to help more funders support NQDs. To learn more about this initiative and download the toolkit, visit https://lnkd.in/eGPwhry7. #fundraising #funders #foundation #grantwriting
