Mastering Challenging Art Relocations: William Tracey & Sons in Action When the Office of Public Works, Art Management division, needed expert handling for their artwork relocation from a building on Adelaide Road, Dublin 2, they turned to William Tracey & Sons (#Tracey’s). The Department of Environment, Climate & Communications' five intricate pieces of artwork, suspended six meters overhead, required precise and careful removal. THE PROCESS: 🔷 Preparation Works: Our team safeguarded the atrium floor with 10mm corex board and set up perimeter barriers. 🔷 Scaffold Setup: A six-meter mobile scaffold tower was erected by our skilled subcontractor. 🔷 Artwork Removal: Three pieces were carefully detached from suspended cables, followed by the remaining two pieces which required a different approach involving ropes and precise coordination from the 5th and 2nd floors. 🔷 Safe Packing: Once all pieces were removed, they were safely packed and prepared for transport. THE OUTCOME: The entire task was completed smoothly and efficiently in just one day. Both the client and the building manager were delighted with the flawless execution.
