💬 Carrefour and its commitment to hydrogen: A retail giant's leap into green energy. 🔋🌿 #hydrogen, #green energy, #sustainability, #Carrefour, #HysetCo 🤝 In partnership with HysetCo, Carrefour will deploy five hydrogen distribution stations in the Ile-de-France region by summer 2024. ⛽ Each station will have a hydrogen distribution capacity of 500 kg/day, equivalent to between 100 and 200 refuellings for light vehicles. 🕐 These stations will be open to the public 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, complementing the network of hydrogenerators in the Ile-de-France region. 📍 Although the exact location of the stations has not been communicated, it is expected that they will be located on land owned by Carrefour, probably next to some traditional stations already deployed by the group in its shops. 🔗 This partnership with HysetCo is not the first initiative led by Carrefour in the hydrogen field. 🚚 The group is also partnering with the CATHyOPE programme as part of a pilot programme to experiment with a refrigerated truck adapted to run on hydrogen. 🔗📌 Details: https://lnkd.in/dD5Bma94 .

In line with our commitment to sustainable innovation and our goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, we are excited to announce the deployment of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) in our Singapore data centres. This makes us the first local operator to use HVO as a renewable replacement for conventional diesel fuel in backup generators. Supplied by Neste, HVO is a cleaner and more sustainable fuel option. Produced from waste fats and vegetable oils, it significantly reduces carbon emissions and cuts greenhouse gases by up to 90% over its lifecycle compared to fossil diesel.   "At STT GDC, we are committed to implementing innovative solutions that not only enhance our operational efficiency but also contribute to a sustainable environment," said Lionel Yeo, Chief Executive Officer - Southeast Asia, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres. Mars Ireland was delighted to recently announce a new three-year partnership with PRL, with the opening of a new Net Zero operating warehouse in Dublin.   Under the new partnership agreement, PRL will provide logistics, distribution, freight, sales and marketing solutions, as well as supporting us with our sustainability ambitions. The warehouse is another important step towards Mars Ireland’s commitment towards building a more sustainable future.   The new distribution centre commits to Net Zero operations, facilitated by the installation of on-site renewable energy sources, the use of HVO in all PRL delivery vehicles, and energy optimisations such as modern LED lighting, activation sensors, and light harvesting methodologies.   The onsite generation will generate a minimum of 30% of all electricity used at the facility, with the remaining electricity demand to be supplemented with off-site renewable generation. Take a minute to watch the process unfold 👇    Here are a few facts & figures: 👷 1,458 solar panels installed ⚡ 1,450,000 kWh of clean solar energy generated 🔋 Powering the equivalent of 125 households annually Located in the Caesarea Smart Business Park, the HaShacham Logistics Center provides optimal conditions for operational efficiency, resource savings, and business growth. It serves as a hub for major brands like Decathlon Israel sporting giant and the newly joined KSP, all thanks to innovative construction techniques, advanced racking methods, robotics, and more. This solar roof is part of a larger initiative, with 37 solar systems installed across the Caesarea Smart Business Park. For us, "Go Green" is more than a slogan — it's our way of doing business.
