I am constantly amazed that there are still people who believe parental alienation is just a "myth" and is "pseudoscience." Clearly these people have a lot of catching up to do with the advances in scientific research that have been published, much of it since 2016. The bibliography in this paper is a good starting place, and there are many more important papers published since 2020. https://lnkd.in/gbJMC34w
I am in a horrific custody dispute with my abusive husband who has secured custody of my babies, now 4 and 6. He has weaponze the children and the courts... it's been a living nightmare. I found myself crying reading the comments... so much truth and so much pain. And we all hope for the same thing: that our babies know our love for them will not end, and we are trying to balance their being punished for even remembering us. It is devestating. I am a lawyer and am currently on appeal in Missisisppi, and I am seeking amicus briefs related to coersive control domestic abuse and parental alienation. Wondering if you know of any organizations that would be willing to educate a court... I am also writing a writ of mandamus in the other court (my husband insists on litigating 4k miles away though we all live in the same state 5 miles each other). My timeline is dwindling and I'd need something for the courts in the next month. Any suggestions? I am now investing all my time and energy into these appeals, and I think I have merit to at least get the case transferred to the state we live in. But it would go a long way to have amicus briefs on the psychological effects of this behavior. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks for considering!
I'm an alienated mother alienated for 18 years now after 2 false arrests never to see my kids again since July 18, 2005. Then in Dec 2021 I was brought back to trial saying I wanted nothing to do with my adult kids so they were trying to sue me but my 31 year old alienated daughter told Justice Carraccia that "she didn't alienate us We alienated her '. Trial ended and the alienating father had to pay me. Since the trial ended on September 6, 2022 I was further alienated from my adult children and again my 31 year old daughter said l will never see my future grandchildren and when she does have children she will tell them what an abusive alcoholic crackhead mother I was beating them daily. I never drank nor did drugs and never did l ever beat my children ever.
Agree Dr. Jennifer Jill Harman and it makes me wonder why the denial is so emphatic without hesitation? Is it really just the term? What does it matter? Experience in FC makes you learn very quickly that violators will lie about anything, so is battered women syndrome a pseudo science? What is the true motivation given that psychological abuse with children is the outcome. They’re suffering life long trauma, wouldn’t you make it your business to learn?
With the amount of fluoride people take, the propaganda from TV, social media etc no wonder they are brainwashed to hold that view. PA is just another societal type of psychological warfare and mind control. I’m surprised that there are so many ‘awakened souls’ who understand it for what it is - evil!
It's only real if the mother is being alienated. For context, I'm an alienated father.
I'm constantly amazed, too.

7moThose people do believe that PA exists and prevalent. They label it as a myth because it benefits them to do so. The harmful family court system that needs urgent reforms, the laughable child support rules, the lack of 50/50 shared parenting, the 250 feminist organizations that are anti-fathers, and parental alienation are all a part of a circle that shouldnit be disturbed. So they will fight anyone who talks about any of those issues.
