"If the why is powerful, the how is easy." 🤔 In today's rapidly changing world, integrating sustainability into functional strategies has become a critical driver for organizational success. 🌿🏢 By aligning each employee's objectives with the broader sustainability vision, we can unlock the power of the "why" and drive meaningful change. When employees understand the purpose behind sustainability initiatives and their role in achieving these goals, they become motivated and engaged in implementing sustainable practices. 💡🤝 This alignment not only empowers employees but also promotes collaboration and ensures that sustainability efforts are comprehensive and effective. 🌐🙌 It's crucial for organizations to recognize the significance of functional strategies in achieving overall sustainability objectives and involve every employee in the process. By bridging the gap between overarching goals and day-to-day operations, we can pave the way for long-term success in sustainability. 🌱✨ Let's embrace the power of the "why" and work to integrate sustainability into our functional strategies to make the "how" easier. 🌍💚 #Sustainability #OrganizationalSuccess #Collaboration #DriveChange #BetterFuture 🌿🚀🌍

People, and their decisions and actions, created the global economy as we know it. And it will be people who transform the economy to be both sustainable and regenerative. The Sustainability Action Readiness Assessment (SARA) helps organisations put people at the heart of their own transformation using employee insight, progress metrics and industry benchmarks. #ThisMeansUs #Sustainability #EmployeeEngagement #ClimateAction
I believe that at the heart of every #sustainabilitytransformation are #people. People who have the desire to be part of the change we need to see in the world. Of course, technology will play a part in getting us where we need to be, but not without the commitment and engagement from people across all industries and at every level. We need all hands on deck. Now to get people onboard, we need to look inwards. What do we know? What don’t we know? How do we feel about it all? Employees consider sustainability to be important to them at work: it’s important to their motivation, and they think their companies have a big role to play. The problem often is the lack of confidence that they have what it takes to help. The SARA (or Sustainability Action Readiness Assessment) helps you identify what’s getting in the way... Using our ‘Head, Heart, and Hands’ framework, Kite Insights’ SARA measures employees' knowledge, motivation, and ability to act on sustainability at work. Here are some of the insights we’ve gathered so far: 🧠 Head: 75% of employees believe their company has an important role in tackling sustainability challenges. 🫀 Heart: 81% say it’s important for their motivation and wellbeing to act on sustainability at work. 🤲 Hands: Only 43% feel confident they have the understanding needed to start a sustainability project. The data shows that employees care deeply about sustainability, but – as it stands – they’re unable to transform that awareness into action. The awareness festers into anxiety, instead. One of the most revealing insights the SARA gives companies is what different parts of their organisation need, to play their part – and how they need to play it. All that to say: the SARA gives you valuable data to: 💼 Make the case for change (CSOs, we’re talking to you here) 🦸 Unlock employee superpowers 📊 Track your company’s progress We have a dynamic 📈dashboard 📊 that enables those leading the transformation to explore results for hundreds of different parts of their company, instantly. As Al Gore often says, ‘the will to act is a renewable resource’; let’s make the most of it, which means us... Addressing sustainability within a company isn't just about having a dedicated team ticking off boxes. It requires a deeper integration into the company's DNA, touching every corner of operations. Here's how to truly engage your employees in the sustainability journey: 🔍 Frontline Empowerment: Your frontline employees are your eyes and ears on the ground. They see opportunities for sustainability in action every day. Empower them to suggest and implement changes, whether it's reducing waste, saving energy, or sourcing sustainable materials. 💡 Offer a New Normal & Integrate Sustainability Everywhere: Sustainability discussions shouldn't be confined to boardrooms or dedicated teams. It should be part of everyday conversations across departments. The sustainability team can play a pivotal role in consolidating ideas and initiatives from different areas of the company. 🏆 Incentivize Action: Recognize and reward sustainable actions. Whether it's through incentives, bonuses, or acknowledgment programs, showing appreciation for sustainable efforts encourages further engagement. 🔄 Reframe Conversations: Shift the narrative around sustainability from obligation to opportunity. Instead of focusing solely on the environmental impact, highlight the positive outcomes for the company, community, and individuals. Engaging employees in sustainability isn't just about doing the right thing; it's about fostering a culture of innovation, responsibility, and long-term success. Let's work together towards a more sustainable future! #Sustainability #EmployeeEngagement #GreenBusiness #decadeofaction The Transformation Alliance H&Z Management Consulting
