Senior Vice President and Head of People & Culture, Europe at The Coca-Cola Company

As we wrap up our Global Career Month here at The Coca-Cola Company, I wanted to share a couple of pieces of advice that have helped me to invest in myself and my career over the years: ➡️ Regularly assess your skill set to make sure you’re staying relevant for the world around you. We all need to continuously upskill, and in this increasingly digital world, the skills we have today may not necessarily get where we want to be tomorrow. Throughout Career Month, I was particularly inspired by session about how we can use Chat GPT Personas for career and development delivered by my colleague Frik Brits. It’s clear that those of us who learn how to embrace Generative AI and use it to our advantage, will be the ones who will thrive in the long run! So brush off your development plan, and consider where you can nurture your strengths, or plug some of the gaps. ➡️ Make time to be inspired! There are many sources of inspiration around us, when we take the time to look. For me, I take most inspiration from my colleagues and my wider network. Just this week, I spent time at an HR Conference in Berlin, sharing knowledge and learning from others. And I also loved the career stories we created for our leaders across #CocaColaEurope this month, to showcase the many varied ways we can gain experiences throughout our career. Make sure to carve out time for networking events, conferences, internal events that offer moments of connection, or spending time in the market with colleagues – you will be surprised just how much you will learn! ➡️ Step out of your comfort zone! It’s true that fortune favors the brave. Throughout my career, I’ve taken leaps of fate by moving countries, roles, functions and industries. It is a sure way to accelerate your career and will offer you transferable skills and business insights that you could never have imagined. Thank you to all my colleagues across Europe who spend time investing in their career throughout May, and to the great People & Culture teams in Coca-Cola who help us all to build future-ready careers! #CocaCola #FutureReadyCareers #Careers #Development

This is a great reminder Drew of the need to keep learning! I recently relocated back to the UK from NZ after 23 years, and this has created both the opportunity to renew, build and refresh my network which has created many learning opportunities, and also the move itself has created moments of 'aha' along the way! Finally, working with the OrgShakers community, I've been given the opportunity to meet and learn about SurePeople who have a unique AI development tool aligned with their #Prism psychometrics tool - you might find it an interesting platform given what you speak of here!
