Most mornings I get out of bed and get directly into a chest freezer on my back porch that's filled with ice and cold water. ❄ Benefits I've experienced firsthand: - mental clarity - improved mood - increased vagal tone (I can spend more time in ventral vagal vs. dorsal vagal = better decision-making and improved psychological and emotional resilience) - decreased inflammation and pain (I have a unique body with a lot of special needs and a great deal of my daily unexplainable pain has decreased since starting this practice) - boosted immune system (getting sick less often) - high tolerance for discomfort - no need for caffeine in my life ❄ I’ve done this since February of 2020 and learned that starting my day with one hard thing goes a long way. *CAVEAT: while it can be hormetic, cold exposure is still a stressor. If you're already experiencing high levels of stress in life and/or your body, tread lightly. Learn more from the king, Andrew Huberman here:

I just listened to the first episode of Beyond Loneliness, and it truly resonated with me on a deep level. 🎙️✨ As someone working closely with Sitender Sehrawat I’ve admired his passion about addressing loneliness and fostering well-being. Dr. Brower's insights really made me reflect on my own experiences and the importance of maintaining those genuine connections. I'm sure you'll enjoy the conversation and it'll make you pause and think about how often our minds are preoccupied, impacting our ability to connect with others meaningfully. It’s amazing how these seemingly insignificant moments contribute so much to our sense of well-being and connection. I’m thrilled for more episodes and can't wait to continue exploring these powerful discussions. The mission of Beyond Loneliness to bring hope, love, and a sense of purpose to those struggling with loneliness is something I deeply resonate with. The passion for creating meaningful conversations and fostering well-being is truly commendable. We are always open to new conversations, insights, and hearing more experiences. More episodes are lined up, so stay tuned for more inspiring conversations on Beyond Loneliness! 🌟 #BeyondLoneliness #Podcast #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #Hope #Connection #DrTracyBrower #Inspiration #GenZPerspectives
