#SDG4 – which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality #education and promote lifelong opportunities for all – is the United Nations Goal of the Month. Despite some progress, the pace of change remains slow and uneven, with significant disparities across geographies, genders and ages. If no additional measures are taken, only one in six countries will achieve universal access to quality education by 2030. To drive further progress, we at #OPECFund are steadfast in our commitment to advocating for everyone’s right to education! Learn more about the Goal of the Month: bit.ly/3AsQa0G

CEO & Founder of Diversify Education & Communities CIC. Advocate for Cultural Diversity & Inclusion within Education & Communities. SDM2023 📧 admin@diversifyeducation.co.uk
**Solidarity Statement from Diversify Education and Communities CiC** In light of the recent unrest in Nottingham and across the UK, Diversify Education and Communities CiC stands in solidarity with all those affected by the ongoing turmoil. These events are a stark reminder of the deep-seated inequalities and frustrations that continue to plague our communities. We recognise that the roots of this unrest are complex and multifaceted, stemming from years of systemic injustices, socio-economic disparities, and a lack of meaningful engagement with marginalised voices. The pain and anger expressed in the streets reflect the urgent need for change. As an organisation dedicated to fostering inclusivity, understanding, and empowerment, we call for a collective response that prioritises healing, dialogue, and action. We urge local authorities, community leaders, and citizens to come together to address the underlying issues that have led to this crisis. Only through empathy, collaboration, and sustained commitment to justice can we begin to build a future where all members of our society feel valued, heard, and respected. We also extend our support to those working tirelessly to restore peace and safety in Nottingham, including community organisers, social workers, and volunteers. Your efforts are crucial in guiding us towards reconciliation and rebuilding. At Diversify Education and Communities CiC, we remain committed to our mission of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of society. We will continue to work alongside our partners and the broader community to create spaces for dialogue, education, and positive change. Let us stand together in solidarity, not just in moments of crisis, but in our ongoing pursuit of a more just and equitable society. **In solidarity,** Freddie, Nikeria, Meraj, Ben, Rebecca, and Shanine Diversify Education and Communities CiC **#Solidarity #CommunitySupport #Justice #NottinghamRiots #UKUnrest #EmpathyAndAction #DiversityAndInclusion #SocialJustice #Equity #HealingAndDialogue #StrongerTogether**

What are you waiting for? Join a CPT delegation this year to deep dive into our on-the-ground experiment in nonviolence. A CPT delegation offers an immersive experience in solidarity, inviting individuals to visit a CPT program for 7-14 days. Throughout this commitment, participants engage with and learn from CPT members and local partners, to deepen their understanding of the local context and build networks in the solidarity movement. Through diverse delegation activities, individuals directly interact with grassroots leaders, community members, human rights defenders, and government officials, allowing participants to comprehend the complexities of conflict firsthand. The transformative power of a CPT delegation transcends its duration on the ground. Participants not only engage as first-hand witnesses and advocates but also bridge the gaps of solidarity by sharing their experiences with their home communities, groups, and media upon return. By becoming advocates for positive change, delegates contribute to raising awareness and fostering understanding of the issues faced by the communities they encounter during the delegation. Ultimately, a CPT delegation is a transformative journey where commitment becomes a powerful catalyst for peace, justice, and positive global change. https://lnkd.in/e72sqiHP

Support for educationally disadvantaged students has important benefits for society as a whole. In Ireland, many initiatives seek to support socioeconomically disadvantaged students. This report looks at the allocation of additional resources to schools in Ireland's Delivering Equality of Opportunity in Schools (DEIS) programme. The resources provided under DEIS programme have delivered many benefits to schools already, but could this be further improved? 🇮🇪 See the OECD's policy recommendations in the latest report 👉 oe.cd/il/5Dy #Ireland #EqualEducation #EducationforAll Department of Education — Ireland Lucie Cerna, Cecilia Mezzanotte
