HomeShare Oregon (HomeShare Oregon), one of OJCF’s six Impact Together nonprofits, matches renters and homeowners through an innovative homesharing model. By pairing homeseekers with just 2% of homeowners currently possessing spare bedrooms, we could provide affordable housing for 30,000 individuals. Moreover, this model offers a dual benefit, as 30,000 homeowners at risk of foreclosure could find stability, all without the need for additional infrastructure development. We are thrilled to announce that Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta is returning to Airdrie for the first time since 2016 to build 11 affordable homes in the community of Bayview! 🏠 Breaking ground this fall and completing in late 2025, these homes will provide local families with the opportunity to achieve strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership. Applications open in early July for Habitat’s no down payment, interest-free mortgage program. Future homeowners will volunteer 500 hours, including working alongside community volunteers and tradespeople on the construction of their homes. With more than 2,000 homes needed to achieve housing affordability in Airdrie, we are proud to be part of the solution. Since 2012, we have built eight homes in Airdrie, positively impacting the lives of eight families and 19 children. “As the need for affordable homeownership rises, Habitat for Humanity is rising to meet the need,” said Gerrad Oishi P.Eng MBA President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta. “We are excited to bring the community together to build brighter futures for hardworking families.” This development will add $4.5 million of affordable homes to City of Airdrie housing supply, helping families build long-term stability and independence. Things do look different when you are high. lol Looking for suitable piece of land for a ‘town for homeless’ in the suburbs of Vancouver. Project Name: Mirza! Town. Project Cost: under $ 100 million and the town will include services of mental health restoration, skills training academy, job placement agency, yoga and physical body training etc. Project Timelines: few years only. Project Description: We will 3D print 10,000 small houses (150 to 300 sq. Ft.), with electric/ water/ bed/ window/ table n chair/ wall art etc. in it. We will distribute all these 10,000 homes to homeless people for free. They will never have to pay any rent for this house. The base idea is that every human should have an option to sleep under a roof, if he/ she/ them wants too. I have no problem if they still wander on the roads but they MUST have an option (like most of you do!). Project Funding: we will invest our own money in this project but we understand that such big project requires partners/ sponsors/ collaborators/ helpers/ volunteers/ supporters/ well wishers etc. so we are open to form any kind of agreement with you as long as it results in the completion of this project. However, we will clearly identify that we will never ask for monetary donations from the public. There is so much money in the system already, we generate our funds from such big corporations/ elites. We just need your verbal/ emotional support. Please just spread the word out, you never know who can help and how! Jazakallah ❤️ P.S. one of the long term effect of the successful completion of this project would be that the amount of tax you all pay everyday will be reduced because now there will be one problem solved and government will have no need to tax you $70 Billion dollars. Why have you never wondered that the people who suggest you to save two dollars on your morning coffee, why don’t they tell you to save $1000 per month in tax by solving homelessness? Ahhhh! my innocent sheep, what they have done to you?

Rapid population growth in New Mexico has increased housing costs and a lack of safe and affordable options. This is an issue across America. CC Housing, a Catholic Charities subsidiary, provides quality housing for low-income individuals, families, and senior citizens. By collaborating with housing developers, government agencies, and private investors, we renovate and/or build new affordable housing projects. Our current affordable housing developments include Hibernian House and Generations at West Mesa both for senior citizens here in Albuquerque, Sunray Lobo Canyon in Grants, and Encantada Apartments in Los Lunas. Additional developments are underway in Belen, Rio Rancho, Las Cruces, and Taos. Last week, PHA held a listening session with area realtors as it prepares to administer Henrico County’s $60M housing trust fund. The session focused on how to make affordable homeownership more accessible to seniors and first-time homebuyers in the current market. Previous sessions were held with nonprofit and for-profit developers earlier in June. Henrico County seeks to create 150 new affordable homes in the first year of the program, using unbudgeted revenue from data centers. The median sale price for a single-family home in Henrico is currently $385,000. This program has the potential to bring the cost of new construction homes down by roughly 20-30%. This partnership supports PHA’s 2024 policy priority of increasing local public investment in housing. PHA continues to work with local governments to alleviate barriers to affordable housing. Developers interested in applying for funding will be able to do so later this summer. Richmond Association of REALTORS® Henrico County #affordablehousing #systemschange #rva

Did you know, the Federal Home Loan Banks give millions of dollars for affordable housing and community development each year? Each FHLBank offers grants for affordable housing program (AHP) and voluntary programs annually. The programs support affordable housing development, homeownership, small businesses, disaster relief efforts, and other community development needs, and include donations to food banks, home repair services for the elderly, support for veterans, and legal aid services. In addition to established programs, over the past two years the FHLBanks have created nearly three dozen new voluntary and pilot programs to meet community needs. The FHLBanks expect to provide $1 Billion in AHP and voluntary program grants in 2024. #FHLBANKS #AffordableHousingProgram #AHP
