We’re proud to share that our work on Renewal SA’s Garden Island Landfill project is continuing into its eighth year. Here’s what we’ve accomplished so far 👇🏼 📍The site 52ha at Garden Island in Port Adelaide, South Australia. 📝The task To protect surrounding sensitive receptors and comply with surface gas emission standards by mitigating fugitive landfill gas (LFG) emissions from the site. 💡Our approach We designed, constructed and operated a staged LFG mitigation system to meet regulatory compliance. This system included the design, manufacture and installation of a 250 m3/hr HT Lo-Cal flare, capable of combusting LFG with a methane concentration of 12 %v/v at a consistent temperature of 1,000°C. The Ennovo team connected the Lo-Cal flare to an innovative gas collection system: A combination of standard deep extraction wells with perimeter pin wells to control LFG migration, while providing pressure relief and improved LFG quality. 🌏The future Each month, we monitor and manage the entire system and landfill site, which has successfully met regulatory objectives. We’d like to thank our client Renewal SA for supporting Ennovo. #Ennovo #EnnovoExpertise #ContractAward #GasCollectionSystem #LFG #EnvironmentalManagement #LandfillGasFlares

The Texas oil and natural gas industry continues to aggressively work towards reducing the use of freshwater in exploration and production activities. “Thanks to the industry’s commitment to innovation and technological advances, newer and better ways to manage produced water from operations are being developed including through the use of brackish groundwater and recycled produced water," TXOGA President Todd Staples told the Odessa American. “[In addition], industry and academia also continue to explore alternatives to wastewater injection through market-based water reuse and recycling as well as innovative pilot programs and collaboration with the Produced Water Consortium led by Texas Tech University and through participation in the Texas Seismicity & Water Partnership.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/geaEiH3E

Zipper fracking, a cutting-edge method in the oil and gas sector, involves the simultaneous #hydraulicfracturing of multiple wells in a well pad. This approach maximizes reservoir contact, significantly boosting #hydrocarbon recovery rates. The technique allows for more precise control over the fracking process, optimizing the use of #resources and minimizing overall environmental impact. Furthermore, zipper fracking reduces surface disturbance as it enables multiple wells to be treated in close succession, minimizing the land footprint associated with conventional fracking operations. This streamlined approach contributes to a more #sustainable industry by enhancing resource utilization and minimizing disruption to ecosystems. The #efficiency gains from zipper fracking not only benefit the #economic viability of oil and gas projects but also align with the industry's growing focus on responsible and environmentally conscious practices. This innovation represents a positive step towards balancing energy demands with environmental stewardship. Dark Star Production Testing LTD.

#Portugal, with its vast and windy coastline, create the opportunity for #offshorewindenergy projects. As land and shallow water resources become scarce, the country focus to the promising but challenging realm of #floatingoffshore wind farms. This innovative approach not only harnesses the powerful winds further offshore but also opens the door to new technological advancements and #economicopportunities. Unlike traditional bottom-fixed offshore wind turbines, which are anchored to the seabed, floating wind farms use advanced #floating platforms to support the turbines. This allows them to be placed in #deeperwaters where wind speeds are higher and more consistent. However, this cutting-edge technology is still in its #developmentalstages, introducing a range of technical and #logisticalchallenges. One of the key challenges is the #anchoring systems required for floating turbines. These systems must be robust enough to withstand harsh ocean conditions while maintaining the stability and efficiency of the turbines. Engineers and researchers are currently exploring various anchoring techniques, from tension leg platforms to catenary moorings, each presenting unique risks and opportunities. #Shared anchors, connect multiple mooring lines to a single anchor point, as referred on the article. It is said that this approach not only reduces the number of anchors required but also minimises the disturbance to marine ecosystems. Something that worth to be looked at. Despite the inherent risks, these pioneering projects offer a unique opportunity for further investigation and #technologicaldevelopment, by collaborating with international partners and leveraging #localexpertise.
