We are excited to share that Lee will be participating in a 135-mile cycle ride from Leeds to Liverpool on June 20th, 2024, alongside a group of clients, contractors, suppliers, and friends. Our goal is to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, an organization that provides invaluable assistance to those affected by cancer. Words from Lee - "This event is especially meaningful to me as it allows me to support Macmillan, a cause that has become very personal to me following the recent passing of my Mum after a courageous battle with cancer." We are reaching out to ask for your support in this endeavor. Your sponsorship and donations will not only motivate Lee during the ride but will also make a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Lee aims to raise over £3,000 for this worthy cause. To donate, please visit our fundraising page at https://lnkd.in/e22S8V73 Your generosity will help us pedal towards a brighter future for cancer patients and their families. Countdown to Impact: 5 Days Left in the April Head and Neck Cancer Alliance Move-a-thon 🏃♀️🙏 As the sun sets on this pivotal month, our shared journey of compassion and support takes on a more urgent pace. There are just 5 days left to contribute to a cause that’s much more than a statistic; it's a lifeline for those battling head and neck cancer. I set out with an ambition – a concise, yet significant goal of raising $150 through the Move-a-thon. This sum symbolizes hope – the equivalent of a night at a hotel for a travelling patient or easing the burden covering some essentials on treatment day. Each donation is a beacon of comfort, providing essentials like a gas card, parking, lunch, and sometimes the priceless gift of child care. While the road ahead is paved with possibility, the present moment reflects a challenging truth. I currently stand at 83% of my fundraising target. "The distance between where we are and where we aspire to be is measured not in miles but in moments of generosity." I humbly ask you to consider the value of your daily coffee – could it instead fund a gesture of immense value? A few dollars could mean the world to someone enduring the most challenging fight of their life. Together, we can fill these last few days with action and purpose. Let's rally to offer more than just relief; let’s provide a sanctuary of support for at least one patient in need. To donate, simply click on the link https://lnkd.in/e_d95i2c Your contribution, no matter the size, will weave into the tapestry of someone’s survival story. Let's make these remaining days count! Thank you for standing with me, for them. #HeadAndNeckCancer #HNCA #Moveathon #Support #Donate #CancerCare #MakeADifference

Such a selfless act well done to both of you.
This is a story of how every one of us - no matter how big or small - has the power to make a positive impact in this world. My 9-y-o child had the idea of helping improve the life of at least one person affected by cancer and started this fundraiser where the money collected are donated to the Irish Cancer Society and at the end of the month both Johanna and I are going to donate our hair to the Rapunzel Foundation. The kindness and generosity have been so overwhelming and Johanna's target has nearly tripled to date. Please feel free share and help raise awareness of the importance of prevention and early diagnostics of cancer and support the priceless work of the Irish Cancer Society. https://lnkd.in/dt_ntUgi

Savills IOW Charity Cycle Update With less than three weeks until our cycle, I just wanted to give you an update on the team's training and what this means to Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the charities we are specifically riding for and close to my heart. The team are training hard, some more than others, and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Over the past year, the team has raised £8,828 for Macmillan Cancer Support - this incredible total would pay for: 1. A Macmillan nurse for over 7 weeks, providing essential practical, medical, and emotional support for people living with cancer and their loved ones. 2. 44 Macmillan grants for people living with cancer to help some of the costs that can come with a cancer diagnosis, such as having to take time off work or travelling to and from hospital appointments. 3. 420 calls to the Macmillan support line. Our new target for the cycle of £2,500 could pay for an additional 12.5 Macmillan Grants for people living with cancer. If anyone wishes to donate towards this great cause, it would be greatly appreciated, however I fully understand the challenges for everyone at the moment and therefore thank you for just reading this post. https://lnkd.in/ehxBBT5u We're looking forward to the big day and will be sure to keep you all updated in due course. #savills #projectmanagement #lopm #bpc

162,000 people per year are diagnosed with some form of cancer. That’s why this July I will be running 162km in the hope to raise money for various cancer charities. I have started to strategise: How many Km’s per day do I want to run? How many days a week & what rest days do I take? What if I get injured throughout? The reality is, these 162,000 people didn’t get a choice or much of a strategy. The plan is to just run……… If you want to support, please see link below. https://lnkd.in/g3hWjGVx

The Smash Cancer Loyola Team knows how to hit an ace! 🎾 Founded by Isabella Leaño in 2019 in honor of her grandfather, who passed away from leukemia, ‘Smash Cancer’ holds an annual tennis-a-thon tournament where the men’s and women’s tennis teams of Loyola University New Orleans play for 12 hours straight. “I combined my love for tennis and admiration for my grandfather into ‘Smash Cancer,’ an organization aimed at raising awareness and funds for cancer research. This spirit of service, instilled in me by my Lolo, has served as the cornerstone of my journey in making a difference in the lives of others,” says Isabella. The fundraiser has had over 1,000 participants and raised over $30,000 for #StandUpToCancer. 🧡 THANK YOU, Smash Cancer Loyola, for your contribution to SU2C’s mission! 100% of your donations received supports Stand Up To Cancer and our collaborative cancer research programs – bringing new treatments to patients now.

This is my ninth year participating in the annual Great Cycle Challenge to raise money to fight children’s cancer. Cancer in children is different from cancers that develop later in adults. As a result, the side effects of typical adult cancer treatments cause more harm to children because children’s bodies are still growing and developing. One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive, and for those who do, by the age of fifty, more than 99% of survivors had a chronic health problem, and 96% have experienced a severe or life-threatening condition. Unfortunately, funding for childhood cancer is less than 10 percent of the dollars the federal government makes available for research into adult cancers which is why raising funds is so important. One in four families lose more than 40% of their annual household income because of childhood cancer treatment-related work disruption, while one in three families face other work disruptions such as having to quit or change jobs. Please donate to my ride by visiting https://lnkd.in/gpaA9A5.

As many of you know, I’ve been fundraising for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a cause incredibly close to my heart after my battle with breast cancer two years ago. Check out the pic of my fantastic accountability “team” and me at the finish line! A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported me! Whether you donated, shared my page, or just sent a word of encouragement, it all made a difference. I started with a modest goal of £100, which we smashed in just a few hours! We even blew past the revised goal of £350, finishing at a whopping £435! Last year, I chickened out of similar events. Excuses galore – wouldn’t finish, raise enough, or even make it on time! This year, I decided to “walk the walk” (pun intended!). In my coaching sessions, I often ask clients, “What will you gain from standing still?” It was time for me to take my own advice. Here’s what got me across the finish line: 🚶♀️#Accountability: Sharing my goal with friends, family, and even social media kept me on track. 🚶♀️#RealisticGoals: Starting small and building momentum helped me stay motivated. 🚶♀️#Teamwork: Supporting my 8-year-old partner in crime with cheers like “Keep on keeping on!” and “Just a little further for that ice cream!” towards the end. This experience proves that sometimes, all it takes is the first step, even when you doubt yourself. If you’re inspired and would like to donate, you can still contribute to this amazing cause: https://lnkd.in/ewhB2bKe Thanks again for your incredible support! #MarsdenMarch #SMARTGoals #Resilience #SelfDoubt #Takingthefirststep
