I will never understand why some med device managers (or managers and companies in general) will put someone through the interview process for 2+ months, then fly them out to a final interview, then make them present in front of 10 people, make the candidate think they have the job, then say "someone just came out of left field a few days ago" and offer it to someone else. That's not fair to the candidate that's been putting in the work and doing everything right throughout the process. Make it. I talked to a candidate today that has had over 80 interviews since march of this year and hasn’t landed a med device sales position yet. It’s so easy to get frustrated or angry but this person didn’t have one ounce of negativity in their voice over the phone, instead they said they’re gonna keep going until they hear YES and break into med device sales.
