‼️‼️ Neurorehab professionals ‼️‼️ Read, share, and enjoy a practical guide which outlines how to use functional electrical stimulation (FES) with task-oriented training for upper extremity motor recovery after a stroke or brain injury. 🧠 I hope the information is useful! There are a lot of pictures and videos embedded. The goal is to bridge the gap between research and clinical reality. It isn’t helpful when our practice guidelines tell us to do something but leave out the important part of how can we make it actually feasible in the real world. Hopefully, you’ll have a better picture of what task oriented training and FES looks like and most importantly, be empowered to try it out the next time you are at work! 🙌🏼 💾 Instructions on how to download: double click on the document, upper right corner is a save button… can’t figure it out? 🙃 DM or write your email in the comments and I’ll send a copy! Comment if you use this This is my favorite hidden tool for central lines. Often overlooked, this catheter over a needle can be a really good tool, especially for trainees new to central line procedures. Save this video and share and don't forget to comment below.

One question we receive a lot is "Are your FitFumes nasal inhalers addictive?". The answer to that question is a big "NO!". Unlike other companies who use stimulants or artificial scents created in labs, we use essential oils to create our powerful scents. Essential oils have zero addictive properties and are safe to use for every training session. To read more, check out our article https://lnkd.in/e6gaexK7

An important article on resistance training. Standardizing care to optimize delivery and optimize clinical output. Because exercise prescription and exercise delivery are the primary products associated with MSK PT intervention, we, as a community, should invest some time in learning ways to optimize output from resistance training.

Do you practice your clinical interventions and practical skills in different environments? ⛱️ ⛳ We call this CS-CS: Clinical Skills in Changeable Settings. Which is something we attempt to implement wherever we realistically can. For example: Pelvic Binder application on different grounds, such as grass, sand or even pebbles. This promotes confidence in a products application and also user competence for within different pre-hospital arenas. . . . . . Train like it's real. Someone might just depend on it. ⚡ Casualty Simulation :: Not a real patient. 📸 www.medicslodge.com training@medicslodge.com Alford Group | The ATACC Group

HR and HRV measurement can provide information on autonomic nervous system (ANS) regulation, while also being an indirect marker of parasympathetic nervous system activity. In an exercise and training context, daily resting HRV measurement has been studied in the prescription of endurance training, leading to greater performance improvements compared to predefined training programs. Put simply, HRV-guided training involves adjusting the intensity and volume of daily training sessions based on that days HRV measurement. https://rebrand.ly/id1pkge

Training to Failure vs Reps-in-Reserve🏋️♂️ This recent study investigated the effects of 8 weeks of resistance training sessions in 18 trained participants (12 male, 6 female) using either… Training to failure (T2F) or 1-2 reps-in-reserve (RIR) …on muscle hypertrophy💪 Mean training volume was similar between groups. Both T2F and RIR resulted in similar ⬆️ in muscle thickness ✅ You don’t need to train to failure to gain muscle mass 👈 Reference: https://lnkd.in/eCEb8uCm

Hcpc registered Psychologist and EMDR Consultant & Facilitator Emotional Response Therapy (ERT) developer
Had a wonderful day discussing Emotional Response Therapy (ERT) with colleagues who have undertaken ERT training. It's great to hear about the clients they have helped with this therapy and share in their enthusiasm about an approach that can make a real difference to the clients with whom we work. The more I hear about its success with different client groups the more eager I become to spread the word to other colleagues. https://lnkd.in/e5-hT7Q4
