Fortunately, our Head of Service Carsten Reineke will not be driving the solar car of Team Sonnenwagen Aachen himself at the weekend. This would probably worsen the team's chances of winning the iLumen European Solar Challenge - iESC in Belgium. 😉 However, his support in the preparations will certainly help the team to complete a successful race. We keep our fingers crossed for you! 🤞 #Solarcar #Sponsoring #EAElektroautomatik #Tektronix

⚡Calling Engineers: Spend less time measuring battery degradation and more time extending vehicle lifetime. Our newest dataset relates to the Molicel P45B (by E-One Moli Energy) and provides companies in aviation, motorsports, and power tools with the insights they need to enhance their system performance. In-house ageing experiments require a huge investment. We allow industry to replace common R&D tasks like these with The Voltt, eliminating activites replicated across the industry. This involves us testing this many batteries to end-of-life, which amounts to tens of thousands of battery cycling hours: 🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋 Sign up to The Voltt to learn more: https://lnkd.in/epBi6SgG

Working out how to build and race hydrogen vehicles is one of several challenges Extreme H will face. Another is the safety stigma. It’s something the series’ managing director Ali Russell is well-versed in, having dealt with similar outside doubts during Formula E’s gestation period. “There’s hydrogen cars in existence, but this is going to be a championship devoted to hydrogen. #Hydrogen can be one of the solutions, not just for e-mobility, but actually for power, and green power,” Mark Grain, Tecnhical Director Extreme E , says. “So I think we’ve got a responsibility, we’ve got a North Star, and what we want to do is to accelerate that growth in that adoption. “We’ve got some challenges, and the biggest one is the education system, because anytime you speak to someone about hydrogen, they talk about the explosive nature of hydrogen, and the Hindenburg and the connotations. What we’ve got to do is break that down, we’ve got to show the performance of the vehicles, but also the fact that they can be so resilient with some of the crashes that you have in this championship and multi-car championships.” Working out how the hydrogen cars will be fueled is a key consideration as well. The paddock setup will obviously be the first of its kind, but could have legitimate real-world relevance, too. “There’s going to be a bespoke setup in the paddock,” Grain says. “We anticipate two refueling stations, and a line of cars that will come, refuel, move, next. “It gives us a platform to demonstrate that hydrogen refueling is very run of the mill, very straightforward. We would just have the two fueling stations out the back, which is just like a gas station these days.” #h2

🌏 KIA KAHA KI TE AO HOU - EMPOWERING A BETTER FUTURE 🌏 👍 EXECUTIVE LEADER & PROBLEM SOLVER 👍 ❄️ CRYOCOOLER SOLUTIONS ❄️ REDUCED EMISSIONS ENERGY 💦 LIQUID NITROGEN 💦 LIQUID OXYGEN 💧LIQUID NATURAL GAS 💧
My specific role at FABRUM. is focussed on developing non #hydrogen applications for our #cryogenic production and storage technologies. For me, it's all about #Liquidnitrogen, #liquidoxygen and #Liquidnaturalgas applications. However, given the fantastic development and execution of FABRUM. in the area of Hydrogen production, liquefaction, storage, and deployment, as presented in the Fortescue post last week, I am often drawn into conversations about my opinion of green energy, battery vehicles, fuel cell (hydrogen) electric vehicles, LNG, CNG, and the hydrogen future. These are my opinions based on visibility and activity in my world. Some of my views align with those of my peers and work colleagues, and others may not. (Call it free speech if you like) Without sitting on the fence, I am open to seeing the adoption of the right energy for the proper application, with the goal of reduced hydrocarbon dependency. A solar panel on the roof trickle charges a compact battery PHEV electric vehicle for around-town movement, which makes sense in the proper context. The remarkable development of Bio-Liquid Natural Gas, which takes naturally occurring waste gas and upgrades it into a usable energy form that reduces dependency on fossil natural gas and the overall quantity of methane emissions, makes sense and is closer than many think. Europe and India are well advanced of New Zealand in this respect. Hydrogen as an energy carrier (fuel) is critical to the future of a decarbonised globe. I am concerned about implementing hydrogen through a fuel cell and the dependency on rare earth membrane elements required to make it work. It is great to see Toyota Motor Corporation leveraging its experience in Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) to extend into Hydrogen ICE. With the global investment in ICE manufacturing infrastructure (Engine Factories), it makes sense to modify an existing technology to gain benefit. It may be the sound of an ICE that gets me motivated in this respect. My overarching message is "Let the engineering and science play out", and let's look toward a pragmatic future beyond a dependency on a carbon-based fossil fuel economy. ### I do not own any rights to the YouTube video below, but I personally support the messaging and intent ###

Stadler’s FLIRT H2 Hydrogen Train Sets Guinness World Record for Longest Distance Travelled Without Refueling In a landmark achievement for sustainable rail transport, Stadler's hydrogen-powered train, the FLIRT H2, has clinched a Guinness World Records title for the longest distance travelled by a hydrogen fuel cell electric multiple unit (EMU) passenger train without the need for refueling or recharging. The FLIRT H2 covered an impressive distance of 1,741.7 miles (2,803 kilometers), marking a significant milestone in the advancement of clean energy solutions in the rail industry. The record-setting journey began on the evening of March 20, 2024, at the ENSECO Transportation Technology Center in Pueblo, Colorado, concluding after more than 46 hours of continuous operation. This achievement underscores Stadler's commitment to innovation and its pioneering role in developing alternative propulsion systems for trains, aiming to reduce environmental impact and foster zero-emission travel. First introduced to the public at InnoTrans 2022 in Berlin, the FLIRT H2 incorporates advanced solutions to seamlessly integrate hydrogen fuel cells and storage systems into Stadler's popular FLIRT commuter train line. Following rigorous testing in Switzerland and the United States, this world record attempt was meticulously planned and executed, demonstrating the FLIRT H2's exceptional performance and reliability. Dr. Ansgar Brockmeyer EVP of Marketing and Sales at Stadler, and Martin Ritter, CEO of Stadler US Inc., both expressed their pride in this achievement and emphasized the company's focus on future rail transportation technologies. They highlighted the potential of hydrogen as a clean energy source, contributing to environmental protection and sustainable travel. This record marks Stadler's second Guinness World Records title for trains with alternative propulsion, following the success of the battery-powered #FLIRT Akku in 2021. The FLIRT H2's success has garnered international interest, with further orders for hydrogen-powered FLIRT units in California and contracts for narrow-gauge hydrogen trains in Italy, confirming Stadler's leadership in sustainable public transportation solutions. <Source https://lnkd.in/erhyqGBC> #HydrogenPower #CleanEnergy #SustainableTransport #RailInnovation #ZeroEmissions #StadlerTrains #GuinnessWorldRecord #FutureOfTransport #H2
