🚨 **URGENT UPDATE** 🚨 I am deeply saddened and outraged to report that the LA Sheriff's Department has trespassed on my property at the Hollywood Cross. During this unlawful intrusion, they stole $150,000 worth of camera equipment and destroyed all my film. This devastating act will cost Dripsy Drown Films an additional $6 million to refilm our documentary, "The Lost Pyramids of Los Angeles," pushing our total budget to $14 million and delaying our debut until after Christmas. Despite my numerous warnings that they did not have jurisdiction on the site, the Sheriff's Department proceeded with their actions. I had already contacted NAGPRA, the FBI, and Homeland Security regarding this matter. To make matters worse, the Sheriff's Department was involved in the disposal of several remains that, based on my military experience in mortuary affairs, I believe were not deceased for more than a year. This is a gross violation of human dignity and respect for the deceased. Additionally, they allowed members of the Hollywood Bowl to set fire to areas of the property under my control, potentially releasing smallpox into the air. This reckless behavior endangers public health and safety. **The impact on our community is profound and far-reaching.** These actions not only disrupt our efforts to preserve and honor sacred sites but also threaten the cultural heritage and history of Native American communities in Los Angeles. The destruction of our documentary footage undermines our mission to raise awareness and educate the public about these important issues. This is not just an attack on our project, but an attack on our community's history, identity, and future. We will not stand for this injustice. We demand accountability and justice for these heinous actions. Please share this post to raise awareness and support our fight for justice. #JusticeForTheLostPyramids #DripsyDrownFilms #HollywoodCross #ProtectSacredSites #PublicHealth #CommunityImpact

If you are a law enforcement officer, do NOT follow the example of Bayou Vista police chief Jimmy Gillane! Every year at the annual Ohio Tactical Officers Association (OTOA) training conference I do a class on practical de-escalation for patrol, and among the points I emphasize to the officers and first responders in my class is not to get offended, frustrated, or impatient! It only increases the likelihood that you will end up saying or doing something that will escalate the situation! Also, do not speak to people in a rude, condescending, dismissive manner, and in the video of the incident the chief looks at the camera and tells the man to "Get away from me, you are a disgrace to me". Folks, that is not an effective way to get people to become compliant and cooperative. Have situational awareness to recognize when you should just break contact and walk away, and then have the self-discipline to just walk away! If it's time to issue a citation or make a custodial arrest, then do that, otherwise walk away! The chief let himself get offended, frustrated, and impatient with people who were trying to do something good for the community, and he let himself get sucked into a situation that was avoidable, manageable, and very de-escalatable. #deescalation #deescalationtraining #professionaldevelopment #lawenforcement #police https://lnkd.in/eGQPSMjx

Do you own multiple homes? Are they empty? Would a landscape crew notice that? Who would? Residential security threats encompass a wide range of potential risks that can affect individuals and communities in their homes. Burglary and Home Invasions: The most direct threat to residential security is the risk of burglaries and home invasions, where intruders forcibly enter a home to steal or commit other crimes. This not only leads to loss of property but can also cause physical harm and psychological trauma to victims. Got solutions? We do. operations@eessinc.com https://lnkd.in/gBU9bAQV

We at Warren wanted to supply a Neighborhood Watch Tip: Keep Your Eyes on the Block! 👀 Join forces with your neighbors to keep your community safe! Establishing a Neighborhood Watch program is a powerful way to deter crime and foster a sense of unity. Here are a few quick tips to get started: 1️⃣ Organize Regular Patrols: Coordinate with your neighbors to take turns keeping an eye on the block. A visible presence can discourage suspicious activity. 2️⃣ Share Information: Create a group chat or social media page where residents can quickly share updates and report any concerns to each other and local authorities. 3️⃣ Light Up the Night: Install motion-sensor lights around your property to illuminate dark areas and deter potential intruders. 4️⃣ Get to Know Your Neighbors: Building strong relationships with those who live nearby fosters trust and cooperation, making it easier to watch out for each other. Remember, when we work together, we can make our neighborhood a safer place for everyone! #NeighborhoodWatch #CommunitySafety #ColoradoSprings

5moIs it curious to anyone else that officer is so nonchalant if they were canvasing the area for up to 4 armed intruders?
