🌟 October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month! 🌟 This month, we celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities and raise awareness about the importance of inclusive employment practices. For the Autism and Developmentally Disabled community, this is a crucial time to highlight the unique strengths and talents that individuals bring to the workforce. 💼 Why is this important? - Empowerment: Employment provides a sense of purpose and independence. - Diversity: Inclusive workplaces benefit from diverse perspectives and innovative solutions. - Community: Supporting employment for all fosters a more inclusive and understanding society. The Autism Society Inland Empire is passionate about employment for our community. We have offered paid and unpaid opportunities for adults with Autism and Developmental Disabilities to explore different types of employment. Such as: - Speaker's bureau for public speaking opportunities - Volunteer opportunities at our significant events - Marketplace - free space at our Walks and Holiday parties for those interested inself-employment & entrepreneurship - Remote Employment Program- We have partnered with Daivergent to explore over then different careers in the field of remote employment Let's work together to create opportunities and break down barriers.
