It was brilliant to see lots of the Eastern Daily Press team enjoying a hog roast lunch in the sunshine today😎 The social was organised by their staff council group and included a vegetarian option too. Overall, it was a great success!! Here’s to more future team socials🥳 📸 by Emily-Rose Thompson

How do you build a high-performing team? Forming strong relationships with colleagues is key. One of the ways we do this is The Blakeney Brew ☕ Every Wednesday morning, we take a break from our desks to gather over tea and pastries and talk about life away from work. Running a marathon? Learning a new language? Great cultures are the bedrock of high performance. #Blakeney #BlakeneyValues #teamculture

Last week, the Brink team ventured to Fforest Farm in West Wales for our annual retreat. Our goals were to: ⭐️ Produce impactful in-person work and delve deeper into Brink's mission ⭐️ Forge strong connections among fellow Brinksters ⭐️ Create 'space between the logs' to be fully present with one another To achieve this, you'll need the winning recipe: Unique location 🏕️ Choose a place different from the everyday, ideally close to nature, so your team can unplug from all the screens Well-designed itinerary 🗓️ Ensure a perfect balance of full team workshops, solo working time, breaks, and fun activities (always include a 30-minute buffer after every team session!) Share the load 🤝 Nominate team members to lead different parts of the itinerary throughout the week, such as designing sessions, running a quiz night, or creating the party theme. You don't need to do it all yourself Follow the vibe 💃🏻 Be ready to adjust timings at the last minute to sustain everyone's energy. There's no point in making everyone eat dinner at 6 pm when they're still full from lunch… If you need any more tips on designing the ultimate team offsite, then drop me a message 🤗

We had a really cute team dinner meet up at our sister site Castlebrake last week. It’s always tricky to find a night that works for everyone but I always find these out of work times really pull the team together on a deeper level- you get that time to have those complete, in depth conversations that you struggle to finish at work and you get to see the team as a whole. My question is….as the manager how often should you be organising social gatherings with your team? #team #teamwork

🚀 How to Build Unbreakable Bonds at Work 🚀 Want to create a powerhouse team? It's simpler than you think. Here’s what’s working for us: 1. Weekly Paddle Ball & Pickleball Matches 🎾 Every Friday, our team hits the courts for some paddle ball and pickleball. It’s not just a game—it’s a chance to connect, unwind, and strengthen those team bonds. We leave the office behind and dive into competition and fun, together. 2. CrossFit Twice a Week 💥 Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for CrossFit. We push each other, sweat together, and celebrate every rep. These sessions aren’t just about fitness—they’re about fostering resilience and trust. Why This Works: ● Shared Passion: We bond over what we love—sports. ● Boosted Morale: Breaking a sweat together boosts camaraderie and keeps the energy high. ●Stronger Collaboration: Teamwork on the court translates to teamwork at the office. Your team is your strongest asset—invest in them, and the returns are priceless. 💯 Follow Joe Gray for more tips 🙌

Spend time with your colleagues when you don’t talk about work, but get to know each other as people. Great night with Promoting Good colleagues Camille Holmes and Brandi Hale while in Baltimore. I value that our team works remotely most of the time and it is good to see each other, to connect in person, and to share a meal. #team #inclusiveleadership #inclusiveculture #promotinggood

A team needs to come together and build strong relationships. 🤝 The act of sharing a meal can be a great way to achieve this. 🍽️ The team that eats together creates a bond that can lead to greater collaboration and success. 💪 When a team works well together, they can achieve big wins that may have seemed impossible before. 🌟 Today, the team had a charisma celebration 🥳 where they recognized the unique strengths and qualities of each member. This was followed by a team lunch 🍔🥗 where they enjoyed delicious food and had the opportunity to socialize and connect on a personal level. Finally, the team had a birthday celebration 🎂 for one of their members, where they recognized and celebrated their contribution to the team. 🎉 These events not only brought the team closer together but also created a positive and enjoyable work environment. 😀 It is important to celebrate the successes and milestones of a team to maintain motivation and inspire continued success. 🎊 #TeamCelebration #WorkPerks #TeamLunch #EmployeeBenefits #TeamSpirit #CompanyCulture #CareerAsset

Was helluva year for video production at Piksel! Any production since forever comes with its own unforeseen tiny little issues that really love to test you on the day of shooting. What we've learned and constantly do is maximize time in pre-production in order to minimize time during production: 1. Do extensive and detailed storyboards 2. Try doing videoboards - go on location and shoot the whole video with a phone. Maybe even edit it afterwards. 3. Let the crew do their thing. One person cannot be the director, the DP, the AD, the producer and the editor. 4. Shoot coverage then happily delete it If its never used :)
What makes us exceptionally proud of 2023 is the team work, dedication and the continuous growth and development of all our colleagues in Piksel. It was an absolute pleasure, and at times a challenge, to watch all our teams work patiently and enthusiastically on projects that ended up generating outstanding results. Here are some of the projects that we worked on and that made us very happy and proud. 🥰

Team Clincher hit up Luna Park! 🎢 Last week, our team had an absolute blast during a morning outing to Luna Park! 🎡 It was the perfect way to get outside, connect, and have fun before returning to the office for our wider team CSO offsite in the afternoon. Here are a few reasons why team-building activities like these are so beneficial: 1️⃣ Strengthening Connections: Spending time together in a relaxed environment helps build stronger relationships. According to a Gallup study, employees with a friend at work are seven times more likely to be engaged in their jobs. I’m lucky to say I have MANY friends at LinkedIn. 2️⃣ Boosting Morale: Fun activities outside the usual work routine can significantly boost team morale. 3️⃣Enhancing Communication: Team building activities improve communication skills and foster open dialogue. What team-building activity have you and your team have done recently? (We missed you Benny!)
