Q: I have been in leadership/director/executive roles before but am not currently in one, am I still eligible to join? A: YES! Absolutely. And Leadership/Director/Executive can look a lot of ways--in corporate, in education, in non-profit, in your own business, in your household, in your community. You are welcome here. Q: What if I'm not entirely sure if I'm neurodivergent, can I still join? A: Yes! Ember welcomes folks who are rooted in their neurodivergent identity all the way through folks who are just learning about the word neurodivergent. You are welcome here. Q: What about trans women, are we welcome? A: Yes! Absolutely!! Women are women. "Women and LGBTQIA2S" includes all the historically excluded genders. You are welcome here. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧? . . I often ask myself the meaning of true empowerment! Is it mere 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲? 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦 ? 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐬? No!! . . This came thought came to my mind after seeing a recent example of women leadership. Representing women in leadership role is not enough, giving them the actual leadership power is the real empowerment! . . We see a lot if examples in our day-to-day life where we see pseudo empowerment . . True empowerment goes beyond slogans, emphasizing systemic changes, education, and dismantling ingrained biases.
