Referral programs work There are usually (paid) employee referral programs at most companies. If you are looking for a new position, research your network to see whether you know anyone who works at a target company With programs like these, employers win, the individual who refers you wins, and you win There may be a probationary period, but in the end, the employee who refers you might just get a payout if you end up working out Do yourself a favor and make sure you keep in touch with all of your professional contacts over the entire course of your career - not just when you need something from someone (that will feel like they are being used or manipulated)
