I'm excited to be presenting at the Best Friends National Conference July 11-13 in Orlando Florida. My presentation is entitled "From Buzzwords to Lifesaving, turning misunderstood topics into improved shelter lifesaving." During my presentation I'll be talking about terms such as "Length of Stay", "Capacity for Care" and "Managed intake". Often these topics are misunderstood -- which can lead to unnecessary animal deaths in the shelter, poor communication with the community and erosion of public support. Looking forward to talking through these concepts, how they relate to each other, and how you can harness them to maximizing lifesaving in your community. Come join me at the conference!

Another reminder about the Midwest Animal Sheltering Conference, October 27-29th, in always-sunny Springfield, Missouri. This is one of my favorite conferences of the year -- great national speakers, but at a smaller conference where people are more accessible and you can spend more, valuable 1 on 1 time.
