Celebrating Unity and Culture: Our Bosses' Visit to the Philippines Anticipation is high as we prepare for our bosses' visit to the Philippines to spend quality time with our offshoring team. This event is more than a business trip; it's a celebration of unity, culture, and mutual respect. The traditional welcome lunch promises a rich cultural experience, fostering stronger relationships and enhancing our organizational culture. Visiting your team in the Philippines has numerous benefits: - Learning the Culture: Immersing in Filipino traditions bridges cultural gaps. - Valuing Diversity: Respecting different customs fosters an inclusive work environment. - Building Stronger Relationships: Face-to-face interactions create personal connections, enhancing future collaboration. - Enhanced Communication: Understanding cultural nuances improves overall efficiency. - Team Building: Collaborative activities promote teamwork and create lasting memories. - Boosting Motivation and Engagement: The visit itself shows appreciation, boosting team morale and productivity. I highly recommend to our clients to visit their team, and surely they keep coming back for more. Welcome back David Jones & Michael Neilsen! Cheers! #Culture #Diversity #TeamBuilding #EmployeeEngagement #Philippines #Unity #OrganizationalCulture #LeadershipDevelopment

This just in: Fiksuruoka–Foodello is a Great Place To Work™ again 💚 Why do we take part in this kind of survey? 🌱 To understand: how does our team feel about culture, appreciation, career opportunities, or equity? 🌱 To dig deeper: where are we succeeding and where do we still have improvements to make? In 2023 it was the first time we got this GPTW™ certificate to BOTH our locations: in Finland and to the Netherlands! 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲...? Some of the publicity the coffee chain Starbucks has attracted has caught my attention recently. Brian Niccol, the new chief executive has come under fire for having a remote office a thousand miles from Starbucks’ headquarters in Seattle. It has also been reported that in its American outlets, comfy leather armchairs have been replaced with wooden chairs and handwritten names on cups have been exchanged for printed tickets. This got me thinking about all of the weird and wonderful requests Global Mobility professionals have to manage - remote working and work from anywhere being just one. It also got me thinking about how just small touches of personalisation, making people feel comfortable and that we're relocating real people is so important for Global Mobility and can easily get overlooked. Whatever your Global Mobility issue, Expat Academy Ltd has an event or a resource to help you identify solutions and best practices from peer organisations. 🎟️ 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲! ☕ 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀: Book your spot: https://lnkd.in/e3RnvAFs ☕ 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿? #Tuesdaythoughts Last week, I had an interesting conversation with the EMEA Head of Marketing. We were discussing the differences between marketing in EMEA vs APAC. While there are unique nuances to each region, the similarities actually stand out more when you look at factors like localisation, market maturity, and even cultural approaches. The best example I could find was hosting events or running field marketing activities in the Philippines feels surprisingly similar to Southern Europe. Here’s why: Relationship-oriented approach - People prefer informal activities centered around food and networking over anything too corporate. Building strong connections is key. Indirect communication style - Regardless of rank, handshakes are followed by hugs and kisses. It’s all about making personal connections. Flexible approach to time - A 30-minute buffer? That’s the minimum. Things run on their own schedule, but it’s always with warmth and understanding. Incredible energy - There’s always a smile. The energy is infectious, and it’s a joy to engage with people here. As their famous tourism board slogan says “ Love the Philippines” This week, I’m on the road in Manila. It almost feels like home (minus the traffic 🚗). Looking forward to connecting with many of you at CXNext tomorrow!

Global Senior Manager Security Programs - Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Security Services I Securing PMI’s end-to-end Supply Chain & Manufacturing I Board of Directors Member & Vice-Chair @ TAPA EMEA I Mentor
Work is fun. I use this quite often to hashtag my social media posts from when I get to travel for work. Whilst airports and flights may cause some fatigue (especially when your flight is cancelled last minute 😎) there is the novelty factor I look for every time I get to visit our #manufacturing sites. Last week came with a double opportunity as I was visiting our manufacturing site in #Italy and then I get to spend almost one full day in our manufacturing site in #Romania (thank you to Adi Groza, Kurnia Adhi Sulistyawan and your teams for making my visit another proof that OPS is a great place to be). For those who know the story, our factory in #Romania is a special place to me and will always be a special place to be. And beyond that, the site's mantra is “#theplacetobe”. And I do remember (with pride) being part of that mantra construction not that many years ago. 😉 I also stumbled upon this image that reminded me of the early beginnings of the #wellbeing within the company. And I remember some of the #skepticism around it because let’s be honest, whenever we are faced with #novelty or concepts, we don’t really grasp from the get-go, we all have our own (and specific) level of skepticism. Well-being is something that we shouldn’t (necessarily) #expect others to do for us. Is also something we must do for ourselves. And yes, our company provides such a great #platform of choices when it comes to looking after your wellbeing but also your team’s one and #everyone around. Our Chief Diversity Officer Mimi Kurniawan has a great motto that says: #Inclusion starts with “I”. If I may be allowed, I could add: #Wellbeing starts with “We”. The role of each leader is to take care of the people around (The #Team) #equally as taking care of herself/himself. That is a #leadership trait and a sign that you are #leading for your team, rather than for yourself. Wellbeing is about taking #care, a value that is part of our PMI #DNA. And that’s about another mantra that stuck with me for as long as I remember working at Philip Morris International: #Because #We #Care!

🎉 As we celebrate the auspicious Chinese New Year, it's important to reflect on the significance of operational excellence in our business activities during this festive season! In the spirit of renewal and prosperity, operational excellence plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth business operations and fostering success in the year ahead. 🐉 🎉 Here's why: 🐉 Efficiency and Productivity: Chinese New Year festivities often lead to disruptions in regular business operations due to holidays and celebrations. By prioritizing operational excellence, businesses can streamline processes, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery to clients and customers. 🐉Supply Chain Management: The Chinese New Year holiday often results in factory closures and disruptions in the global supply chain. With effective operational strategies in place, such as inventory management and alternative sourcing solutions, businesses can mitigate the impact of these disruptions and maintain continuity in supply chain operations. 🐉Customer Satisfaction: During the Chinese New Year period, businesses experience a surge in customer demand for products and services, particularly in certain industries such as retail and hospitality. Operational excellence enables businesses to meet customer expectations by efficiently managing resources, staffing levels, and service quality, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. 🐉 Employee Engagement and Well-being: The Chinese New Year is a time for family reunions and celebrations, and employees may require time off to participate in these festivities. By implementing effective workforce management practices and fostering a supportive work culture, businesses can ensure that employees feel valued, motivated, and engaged while maintaining operational efficiency. 🐉 Adaptability and Innovation: In the dynamic business landscape, adaptability and innovation are key drivers of success. Operational excellence encourages businesses to embrace change, identify areas for improvement, and innovate processes and strategies to stay ahead of the competition, driving long-term growth and sustainability. As we embark on the Year of the Dragon, let's harness the principles of operational excellence to navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve greater success in our business endeavors. Wishing you all a prosperous and fulfilling Chinese New Year! 🧧🐉 #OperationalExcellence #ChineseNewYear #YearoftheDragon #BusinessSuccess 🎊

Director, Digital Business Enablement, Digital Technology Transformation at Sentosa Development Corporation
Thank you to Sentosa Development Corporation, I just had the privilege of attending the Hospitality Exchange event by Singapore Hotel Association, where the theme of "Balancing High Tech with High Touch" resonated deeply. Here are some key insights that will redefine the future of hospitality: * Guest loyalty is about holistic experiences: Guests want to feel loved and engaged. Create memorable experiences by prioritizing their needs and fostering a warm, welcoming environment. * Engaged employees are the key to engaged guests: A positive work culture drives employee satisfaction and ultimately, guest satisfaction. Invest in your team and empower them to deliver exceptional service. * Technology is a tool, not a replacement: While technology can streamline operations, it's essential to maintain a human touch. Combine the best of both worlds to create personalized and memorable experiences. * Focus on the guest, not the process: Prioritize guest needs and emotions over rigid processes. A warm, welcoming atmosphere can significantly impact guest satisfaction and loyalty. * Leadership is about mindset: Great leaders inspire, care, mentor, and invest time. It's about emotional gestures, not just financial acumen. As the hospitality industry continues to evolve, the successful organizations will be those that can effectively balance technology with human connection. By understanding the importance of both, we can create memorable experiences that drive guest loyalty and business growth. #HospitalityTrends #GuestCentric #DigitalTransformation #LeadershipDevelopment #Sentosa

🌟 Can a simple cup of coffee change everything? Well, there's a lot more to it than you might think! ☕ Just returned to Malaysia 🇲🇾 from the Nordic Business Forum, and while the caffeine hit was on point, it wasn’t what left the biggest impression on me. 💜 It was the sense of being genuinely welcomed, the feeling that my opinions mattered, and the chance to connect with inspiring people in a safe, engaging space. It got me thinking 🤔… What really makes our everyday work experience great? Is it the tangible perks, or is it more about feeling valued, heard, and included? For me, it's about: 1️⃣ A sense of belonging 🤝 2️⃣ A culture that invites curiosity and growth 📚 3️⃣ Opportunities to connect and move (even beyond the coffee machine 😁 ) I’m curious to hear what are your top 3 essentials for a great work experience? 💬 Feel free to share in the comments! And let’s keep the conversation brewing! ☕ 😉 ---------------------------------- Can’t praise Nordic Business Forum team enough 🙏🏼 You are doing your work from heart, with passion, drive and care. And honestly, you’ve made it tough for any other conference to top this experience for me! )) #nordicbusinessforum #leadership #culture
