Behind the scenes at Hinkley Point C. Hinkley Point C has released a new video showing work underway to install the heart of the new nuclear power station. Take a look and join Simon Parsons as he lifts the lid on preparation to install the first nuclear reactor, steam generators and the world's largest turbine - the Arabelle. #Nuclear #NetZero #BuiltByUs
I'm watching your site updates clips since some time already counting to see eventually some of our skids delivered to HPC site. Looking forward for next updates!
I see images like this and just think "WOW" After 44yrs in the industry, it never ceases to amaze me what we are capable of. The scale and complexity of this colossal site is amazing. Hats off to all those helping to make our country efficient and safe.
Love or hate nuclear, Britain needs a mix of energy solutions and nuclear is a vital part. Here at Heap & Partners we’re proud to have supplied our Phase valves to this project. Keep up the good work.
An economic disaster. This construction means a huge expense for taxpayers for the next 35 years. And when it all has to be scrapped, there is no plan for who will pay for the cleanup. But a quick guess, it will be the taxpayers again. Off the coast of England, offshore wind produces electricity without government support at a price per kWh at 1/8 of the price of the state aid this nuclear power plant must have per kWh for the next 35 years. After all, this is an unnecessary madness that can only be done because consumers were given no say in the choice of energy source. This is energy dictatorship It's a shame for the general Englishman, I'm lucky enough to be Danish so I live in a country with a direct ban on nuclear power, lucky for the Danish consumer and taxpayer
Great video bringing our project to life and showcasing the strides made by the team. I feel very proud to be part of this
Joule Energy has completed around 9.000 MW Turbine & Generator Installation to date. Joule Energy have not been able to achieve this so far in the Nuclear Power Plant. We hope in close future we will sign a Turbine & Generator Construction contract in the Nuclear Power Plant as soon as possible.
Great to see the UK government’s foresight into clean base-load power, not like these muppets we have running Australia.

3moWould be nice to consider building similar plants in Australia as well. I think this video sells how industries and expertise can be built while securing reliable base load electricity for a country and not being depend on coal. Renewables and reliable baseload hand in hand. Could be a good idea for the producer of Utopia to include something around this in their next episode.
