We’ve been to lots of amazing local events this year to talk to people about our project. From The Suffolk Show to the First Light Festival, Sotterley Country Fair, Aldeburgh Carnival and beyond, we’re lucky to have some of the best summer festivals and community events right here on our doorstep. These events give us a great opportunity to let our communities know how the project is getting on – it’s really important to us to keep people informed and to take the community with us as we build this incredible project. And as the growing impacts of climate change are becoming more apparent, it also gives us an opportunity to talk to people about how Sizewell C will make a positive contribution, saving nine million tonnes of CO2 emissions for every year of its operation. As Marjorie Barnes, our head of regional external affairs and development, says: “We’ve spoken to thousands of people at Suffolk events over the last few months – and the impacts of climate change are a frequent topic.” Read more in the East Anglian Daily Times📖➡️ https://lnkd.in/evavc69E

“My dream is, hopefully, directing Sizewell C.” Meet Ruby, one of our first apprentices. She is going to help us build Sizewell C which will power 6 million homes with home-grown electricity for at least 60 years. Giving generations of people opportunities to build skills and careers in East Suffolk is at the heart of the Sizewell C project. But what inspired Ruby to join the apprenticeship scheme?
