🌱💡 As the In Charge of Cooperation at KOICA I am delighted to share a pivotal development in our pursuit of advancing renewable energy solutions and Decarbonization strategy in Morocco. Following multiple R&D-focused projects in the sector, we are strategically positioning ourselves to establish a seamless connection between R&D applications and various industrial domains, catalyzing practical implementation within local contexts, bringing tangible impact. With that aim we kicked-off our first discussions with the Agence Marocaine pour l’Efficacité Énergétique (AMEE), seeking collaborative opportunities to promote energy efficiency on a localized scale and within diverse industries! The exchange with the Director General of AMEE, Dr. Mohamed Benyahya, and the Deputy Director of Strategy and Development, M. Radouan Yessouf, was marked by forward-thinking perspectives and was problem-solving oriented, laying the groundwork for potential synergies. We are enthusiastic about the prospect of contributing to the practical realization of energy efficiency goals within different sectors. #RenewableEnergy #ResearchAndDevelopment #Collaboration #EnergyEfficiency #IndustrialIntegration

France takes the lead with IMEEC By appointing Gérard Mestrallet as the head of IMEEC, France demonstrates its ambition to play a key role in this strategic corridor. With investments in renewable energy and telecommunications, France seeks to position itself as an industrial leader while competing with China. The port of Marseille could become a crucial hydrogen hub, strengthening Europe’s energy transition. However, the success of IMEEC hinges on the stabilization of tensions in the Middle East. https://buff.ly/3Y9tkIE

🚨 Exciting Developments in European Energy Infrastructure! 🚨 The Spanish government has officially greenlit the construction of a critical segment of the H2MED project, marking a major milestone in building Europe's future energy backbone. 🇪🇸🔋 H2MED aims to transport 2 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030, accounting for 10% of the EU’s consumption. This ambitious project will connect Portugal, Spain, France, and Germany, with a strategic undersea pipeline linking Barcelona and Marseille to avoid the Pyrenees. Spain's Council of Ministers has authorized Enagás to begin construction, operation, and maintenance of the hydrogen networks and underground storage facilities under IPCEI. This includes: - The CelZa connection between Portugal and Spain 🌍 - Domestic hydrogen infrastructure in Spain, including northern storage units 🏭 - The BarMar interconnection between Spain and France 🇫🇷 On June 25, Enagás, GRTgaz, Teréga, and OGE signed a joint development agreement for the BarMar connection. Additionally, Enagás and REN have formalized a reinforced memorandum of understanding for the CelZa development. This is a huge step forward for Europe's green hydrogen future! 🌱 #EnergyTransition #GreenHydrogen #H2MED #Sustainability #Innovation #Europe Source:https://lnkd.in/e4P-tXu5

I am looking forward to moderate the panel session during RES4Africa Foundation's event "The future of Power Infrastructure in North Africa and Middle East" at KEY - The Energy Transition Expo. A great opportunity to discuss with expert panelists such as Imed Amara, Jauad El Kharraz, sellami rabah, Angelo Ferrante, Marco Giustacchini, Paolo Perani and Andrea Gattini. The panel discussion will start from a realistic scenario: in 2050 Africa's population is estimated to reach 2 billion people. As the demand for energy will increase rapidly in the near future, there is a strong need to accelerate the electrification process across the continent. We will address three key priorities to overcome Africa's key energy challenges: access to reliable and competitive modern energy, investment in climate resilient and compatible modern power infrastructure, support to policies taking into account the local human capital growth.
