Brazil appointed a dedicated minister for Indigenous peoples! 🥳 It highlights Brazil’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of Indigenous communities. 🇧🇷   By appointing a minister to safeguard their rights, Brazil ensures that their voices are heard and respected. 💚   Unfortunately, in many places worldwide, indigenous peoples still lack official recognition and respect.   Take Australia, for instance, where they are currently in the process of deciding whether to constitutionally acknowledge the Aboriginals. (About time, I’d say). 🇦🇺🙏   Alongside Brazil, several other countries are setting commendable examples by acknowledging and respecting their indigenous communities:   🇨🇦 Canada recognizes the rights of First Nation, Inuit, and Métis peoples. 🇳🇿 New Zealand respects the cultural significance of the Māori. 🇳🇴 Nordic countries pay due respect to the Sámi people.   Did you know indigenous communities play a central role in sustainable tourism development?
