Curiosity and integrity. I have been thinking a lot about these two traits. If hiring an entry-level philanthropy professional, I would look for these two traits. No philanthropic facilitator (fundraiser) will know everything - curiosity will serve them well. Doing the right thing and being honest (with internal and external partners) is also essential. Stay curious. Read often. Do the right thing even when it’s hard. P.S. These traits should also be evident for more senior level hires too!
