Cheers to 30 years!🥂 Thank you so much, Jimmy Hartsell, for all you do for EDIFICE Construction and for all your hard work over the years.
Jimmy’s journey in the construction industry began 42 years ago, driven by a passion for building. His first major project with Edifice, the renovation of the Oak Hollow 7-Plex in Highpoint, NC, kicked off in 1994. The $1.5 million undertaking marked not just the start of his journey with the company, but also a stepping stone for many future endeavors. The project transformed an aging theater complex into a vibrant hub of entertainment for the community. Under Jimmy’s meticulous supervision, the renovation was completed ahead of schedule, earning accolades from both the client and the community.
Over the years, Jimmy has successfully completed 35 projects with Edifice, amounting to an impressive total of $114,393,362 in contracted work. His portfolio is as diverse as it is extensive, encompassing every market Edifice serves—from healthcare and industrial to municipal and education, showcasing his versatility and expertise across a wide spectrum of construction.
Jimmy has made a significant impact in the faith-based market, completing nearly $50 million in contracted projects. Among these, the Hopewell Baptist Family Life Center stands out. This project not only fulfilled the community’s needs but also garnered the prestigious Award of Merit in 2011 from Associated Builders & Contractors of the Carolinas. Such accolades reflect Jimmy’s dedication to quality and his commitment to serving the needs of the communities he works in.
Jimmy’s impact extends beyond just the projects he’s completed. He has been instrumental in fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and innovation at Edifice. His dedication to safety protocols has resulted in an exemplary record, ensuring that every worker goes home safely at the end of the day. Jim believes that a safe work environment is paramount, and he tirelessly advocates for practices that prioritize the well-being of everyone on site.
