🔒🚀 Unlocking the Future: Witness the Magic of 3D Printing whole Assemblies! 🚀🔒 What you see here is a print in place MJF lock designed by us, depowered right out of the printer. 3D printing is not only capable of making single parts but also complete functional assemblies in one go. No assembly time, no part list and no need for complicated sourcing of different parts needed anymore. Thanks to engineering by edo additive solutions GmbH and the high quality 3d printing by our partner for MJF and SLS 3D printing prodartis AG - Führend in additiver Fertigung, this concept works flawlessly. With the right partners nearly every assembly can be reduced down to a single or very few parts. Still sceptical if this also works for your case? -> contact us and we analyse your case for free (https://lnkd.in/dqVBaSeH) #3dprinting #additivemanufacturing #mjf #engineering #technology #future

Wow! It's incredible to see how long Lubrizol TPU can last. Durability is one of the key features of ESTANE® 3D TPU and this video is a great example. Thanks Paul DeWys for sharing! Some key factors that contribute to the durability 💪 of thermoplastic polyurethanes are: ⚗ High chemical resistance: To prevent degradation and maintains the polymer's integrity over time. 🔨 Good mechanical strength: Some exhibit high tensile strength, impact resistance, and toughness, making them suitable for demanding applications. 🏐 Excellent flexibility and elasticity: To allow the recovery of the original shape and withstand repeated deformation. This is crucial for applications where the material needs to withstand bending, stretching, or compression. 🔥 Thermal Stability: Varying levels of stability can allow some to withstand high temperatures without significant degradation. Lubrizol's technical expertise and TPU knowledge is decisive in helping customers realize the full potential of TPU, optimizing processing and customizing materials to suit specific needs. We recently had the opportunity to get back the very first nesting detail we ever printed with HP 3D Printing MJF and Lubrizol 3D Printing Solutions TPU Rubber on it from the customer we designed and printed it for back in 2019! This nest was used to assemble automotive door handles and was used to build over 3,000,000 parts! The line is being updated for a new door handle design and this nest was removed so new 3D Printed nesting can replace it. This gives us a very unique opportunity to see how 3D Printed nesting holds up in a very real world shopfloor application over a long duration. Want to talk about your nesting project (or anything else for that matter), hit me up: Paul@Forerunner3d.com #3dprint #3dprinted #3dprinting #additivemanufacturing #3dbyhp #digitalmanufacturing #multijetfusion

🔍 3D printing vs. injection moulding - When to choose what❓ We compared it for you in the quick video below, and it shows: 💡 When it comes to small/medium size volumes, 3D printing often stands out as the most cost-efficient option. Why❓ Because 3D printing eliminates the need for expensive molds, ensuring cost-efficiency right from the start. In our video example featuring a bushing locking system, injection molding only becomes more cost-effective for volumes exceeding 5,000 pieces. This also comes with: 🔹 The possibility of complex designs 🔹 Fast time-to-market 🔹 Lower investment 🔹 No minimum order quantities and excessive storage 🔹 High production flexibility Ready to start lean? [𝟯𝗗 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻] We are excited to share our latest project, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, designed using a combination of 3D printing technologies: - FDM - Pellets FDM - SLA By mixing these different types of 3D printing, we were able to optimize the design and performance of the calibrator, pushing the limits of what tube extrusion can offer. The objective was to take advantage of the benefits of each technology: the 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 of filament printing, the 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 of pellet printing, and the 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 of resin printing.🎯 After several rigorous tests, the calibrator was used on an extruder and the results were conclusive! We were able to produce tubes of 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆. This project demonstrates not only the effectiveness of the tools created by multi-material 3D printing, but also our ability to innovate and push back the frontiers of additive manufacturing.💪 We are proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing to explore new ways of integrating 3D printing into our production processes. #3Dprinting #design #extrusion #manufacturing #innovation #industrialisation #industry #engineering

3D printing is all about versatility! Sometimes your exact solution can be produced with properties that are suitable as-printed, and sometimes 3D printing is only part of the puzzle, like with the demo rook model we produced here. An architectural designer approached us about creating metallic effects on printed parts, we proposed a variety of solutions for them to consider, and ultimately this chrome-coated SLA printing solution will used to create parts with mirror-like optical effects for architectural miniatures. How does your business leverage 3D printing? We'd love to hear about it! If your business is excited to take the leap and start leveraging additive technology, let's get in touch!
