Empathy maps are a powerful tool for building engagement in the #classroom by fostering a deeper understanding of students' perspectives. By mapping out what #students are thinking, feeling, hearing, and seeing, #educators can gain insights into the unique experiences and challenges that each learner brings to the classroom. This understanding enables #teachers to tailor their instructional approaches and create a more inclusive learning environment that resonates with students' individual needs and drives engagement. Empathy maps encourage a student-centered approach, ensuring that teaching strategies align with students’ emotional and cognitive landscapes, ultimately promoting a more empathetic, engaged, and effective #learning experience. #EducationalAgility #AgileEducation #StudentAgency #Designthinking #Empathy #TeacherRetention
#Agile's Jessica Cavallaro writes about #empathy #maps as a driver in learner-centered instruction, utilizing these maps and user stories to focus student’s paths through their #education. https://lnkd.in/grHw8pv6 Sanje Ratnavale, Lynn Schramek, Alli Minch, OESIS Network, The Agile Mind, L-EAF.org, LLC

As the academic year winds down, the excitement for summer blends with a palpable exhaustion from educators and #students alike. It's the perfect time for #schools to embrace a strategic pause—a reflective practice that can redefine the upcoming academic year. End-of-year #retrospectives, rooted in #Agile methods, are not merely for feedback but are a dynamic forum for #educators to share achievements and challenges, fostering a #collaborative environment that prepares for future successes. Utilizing visual planning boards, these retrospectives ensure that every participant’s voice is heard, making the process inclusive and constructive. Such gatherings empower educators to articulate their experiences and insights, paving the way for actionable strategies that address triumphs and trials. By the time summer officially begins, this reflective practice ensures that educators feel valued and understood, setting the stage for a proactive and enthusiastic start to the new school year. The visual planning board is an excellent method to identify and assess needs for the classroom, for personal and professional growth, and for students to see their progress in real time! I constantly return to reflect on two concepts I want to see growth in for our middle school students - the value of a reading culture and the application and understanding of AI literacy.

Being an expert is helpful in the moment. But, expertise without evolution is a recipe for declining relevance and impact. If we want to be agile learners, we have to loosen our grip on the things we "know" to be certain. #RyanGottfredson #verticaldevelopment #leadershipdevelopment

Agile Uprising: The End of Traditional Credentials as We Know It! We are excited to share our journey of transforming higher education delivery through Agile models and experiential learning. A year and a bit into this experiment, we've navigated through learning curves, regulatory landscapes, and the real-world application of micro-credentials, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and industry expectations. Our insights have led us to pivot from micro-credentials to exploring fully experiential qualifications. This shift focuses on empowering learners with self-organising principles, closer integration of workplace competencies, and a learn-connect-lead cycle. https://lnkd.in/ebCUe4pM #AgileEducation #ExperientialLearning #HigherEducation #Innovation
