"I DID NOT WRITE BACK!" As a lover of all sports, I've always believed that sports and life are connected in a way. If you follow sports and observe, there are so many life lessons to take away. If you watch this 6min video, you'll understand: 1. Gratitude- no matter what position you are in, you're here and have the ability to control and make the best of your time. 2.Perseverance - Geno Smith was benched after his rookie year and his career path led him to 7 consecutive seasons of 1 yr contracts and a major season ending injury but his... 3. Self-Belief/Self-Confidence - it didn't allow him to get content as a career back up, which so many Quarterbacks do while collecting millions along the way. Geno Smith didn't even show up to collect his Comeback Player of The Year Award because he felt he always had the skillset and ability, just hadn't been given the opportunity 4. Preparation - throughout his career he continued to prepare as a Starter. The commitment and mindset to stay ready. What he's currently doing in the NFL isn't luck. It's like the old saying goes, "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity" 5. Lastly - no matter what you do, you better believe someone is watching. Whether it's Family, Work, Your Neighbors. You might not notice it, but someone is, and you are in position to set a great example
Geno Smith’s Interview With Charissa Thompson. So inspiring.

Pioneering a New Era of Negotiation Practices Designed for Reconfigurability Capabilities | Embodied Entrepreneurial Negotiation Coaching that Leverages Collective Intelligence
I really enjoyed this conversation hosted by John Vervaeke about creativity and wisdom and hope you'll have a listen and do too. They wrapped with discussing expertise, a topic that's been on my mind. It occurred to me that the degree of expertise, whether that knowledge is held by an individual or a community of practice, could be defined by the quality of questions asked that produced more accurate and coherent ideas about the reality of it. What do you think? https://lnkd.in/gpsvBxft

What lights you up? 🔥 I'm absolutely thrilled to be working with an amazing group of speakers as they prepare for the Posit PBC Conference– truly one of the coolest and kindest tech gatherings out there! We're diving deep into big ideas, exploring what insights the audience will walk away with. And many speakers find themselves torn between multiple potential talks. They can clearly see the alternate reality versions of what they could share. But they can only give ONE talk. So how to choose? Some might suggest, "Tailor your talk to what you think the audience wants to hear!" And that's a good approach. But I believe there's another compelling way to choose: follow your passion. When speakers discuss their options, it’s easy to see which topic excites them the most. They sit up straighter, their gestures become more animated, they look up as if seeing their ideas unfold, and their voice comes alive. This genuine excitement is infectious – it makes me, as a listener, lean in, eager to hear more. That energy is what will captivate any audience. I actually learned this through theatre. When faced with a multitude of acting choices, it's usually best to go with the choice that is fun to do, because that feeling will translate to the people watching. For a speaker, the challenge then becomes getting the audience interested in the topic -- after all it's not just energy, it's also about the content. But that's a challenge we can absolutely conquer during the preparation process. When do you use your interest to guide you? #PositConference #PublicSpeaking #FollowYourPassion #BigIdeas Ruth Milligan Blythe Coons Helmut Berthold Eden Sulzer Christian Long David Staley Matt S.
