Europe awarded €3M to #SEALHYDROGEN project to enable high-efficiency technologies for #greenhydrogen production. The consortium will develop a new high-efficiency alkaline #electrolyzer that will reduce the cost of producing green hydrogen, an essential element in the energy transition and decarbonization of the economy, in line with the global goal of mitigating #climatechange. SEAL-Hydrogen's goal is to develop an innovative, sustainable, cost-effective, efficient and scalable electrolyzer that combines the advantages of conventional and established systems with cutting-edge innovations to make production more cost-competitive. Led by Gonzalo Abellán Sáez , the project is being developed with the support of an international public-private consortium made up of Siemens Energy - a world leader in energy technology - the Horiba Group - one of the largest manufacturers of analytical and spectroscopic systems and components - the Helmholtz-Institut Erlangen-Nürnberg für Erneuerbare Energien, the Universitat de València and its spin-off Matteco. 🗞 Read the news https://lnkd.in/dn28BP8i

Ion Storage Systems (ION) has recently announced that they have secured $20 million from the US Department of Energy’s ARPA-E program as part of a three-year, $40 million partnership with Saint-Gobain and KLA. This collaboration will accelerate the commercialization of ION’s high-performing, anodeless solid-state batteries (SSBs). With the ARPA-E SCALEUP program contributing $20 million, matched by $20 million in private funds, this initiative aims to revolutionize the production of safe, high-energy batteries for EVs. ION's innovative ceramic membrane manufacturing process promises high throughput, low cost, and low emissions.
