DOCUMENTS WHICH YOU NEED TO JOIN A VESSEL 📃🛳️ After graduating from the University, another difficult and responsible part is to prepare all correct documents, to be able to apply for a job at sea. It’s always take time to complete all lists of documents, which is required by your company. But! Here are minimum list of documents that should be in folder of each seafarer. 🛳️ International Passport (Travel Passport) 🛳️ Seaman’s Discharge book (National or flag, depends from the company and vessel) 🛳️ Seaman’s Identification Card (SID), not all countries providing this document 🛳️ Relevant Visa 🛳️ Certificate of Competence for Officers 🛳️ STCW Certificate ( mandatory for cadets) 🛳️ Medical Examination Statement/ certificate with all necessary Vaccinations, such as Yellow Fever/COVID-19 etc 🛳️ Extra certificates verifying your competency in current type of equipment/type of vessel 🛳️ Employee Contract To reach the vessel, company or crewing agency should provide: 🛳️ Flight tickets 🛳️ Letter of Guarantee 🛳️ Emergency contact list 🛳️ Agents contact who will organize accommodation/hotel and drive to vessel 🛳️Crew List for OnSigners Be aware that the above mentioned requirements can differ from company to company.
