The combination makes for a very powerful read on some of the systemic issues impacting on safety performance in NZ Inc. In 2024, LU-VE has been selected to be among the top 240 Italian companies in the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) field, according to research conducted by Statista, which analyzed over 1,500 corporate reports. In addition, the recent awarding of the "Best Practices in Workplace Safety Varese 2023" prize by Confindustria Varese, in agreement with the Italian Labor Unions CGIL, CISL, and UIL, is the latest in a series of recognitions highlighting the company's proactive approach to prevention and the well-being of its employees. Methods such as "Training Breaks" contribute to promoting a company culture focused on safety and well-being. Looking forward to being in the audience for this. Leni Rivera has nailed this insight about the critical role needed to support those who keep a company humming along. I must relate a story after swapping Friday afternoon (or evening for the Europeans) insights with my fellow #MoshPitians… Right after I did 2 months of picking mandarins in Australia and a month of rock climbing in Arapiles, my climbing buddy and I were in our Van, driving south toward the Great Ocean Road. I remember yelling at the southern skies, “I don’t want to be a wheel in the cog of society!” 😫 Whelp. Getting back to Cali after that year-long climbing trip with only my engineering degrees under my belt, I had to engage somehow since I’d had my fill of living out of a van for 8 months. I wanted a closet and a kitchen. Only way to do that in North American society was to get a job. 😢 Thankfully, my climbing buddy was Canadian 🍁so we moved to Vancouver where he could school and I could work. We got him a job and then I started figuring out which cog ⚙️ I wanted to be. In my exploration, I went to talks and classes at the Vancouver Public Library and The University of British Columbia. After hearing ‘The End of Oil’ talk and another one about where energy was being consumed the most, I chose mechanical building system design. Now that engineering is in the rearview mirror, or at least as far as designing mech systems, I am looking to support leaders like Leni who are pushing the envelope 💌 to make sure all these cogs are healthy and happy while they’re toiling with fellow cogs toward a common goal. 🎯 That’s what a company is there for, right? 🤔 I am hopeful America 🇺🇸 can find a way soon to end the health vs. wealth game of tug o’ war that has been happening for centuries. I learned a lot from the quiet, peaceful Great White North 🇨🇦 and look forward to future conversations with my fellow Workplace Evolutionaries around the globe. 🌎🌍🌏 #PeepsFirst #Solutioneers #SubHacking
