Based on Rystad Energy analysis, PETRONAS achieved top #1 position in ranking in terms of discovered recoverable resources in 2023 for most successful companies, while Malaysia is the third country with the highest discovered volume in the world in 2023. We had just finished our 3 days Exploration Forum to define our #exploration #strategy #portfolio for 2024, looking forward for more success stories in the months to come. Biggest change in the world's energy mix by 2050 will be a significant increase in solar and wind, while oil and gas are projected to make up more than half of the world's energy supply. ExxonMobil’s affiliate Esso Nederland BV plans to build a pilot plant at its Rotterdam Manufacturing Complex to test a breakthrough technology that could significantly reduce CO2 emissions from key industries. The pilot plant aims to obtain data on performance and operability of the carbonate fuel cell (CFC) technology, jointly developed with FuelCell Energy. Additionally, the pilot aims to address potential technical issues that may occur in a commercial environment and better understand the costs of installing and operating a CFC plant for carbon capture. Esso’s Rotterdam integrated manufacturing site will be the first place in the world to pilot this technology. Pending a successful demonstration, ExxonMobil could deploy this technology at its manufacturing sites around the world. https://lnkd.in/g-VM4Qma

More North Sea gas to Europe - the recent Tommeliten A production start adds important volumes to our gas delivery ❤️.  Production from the Tommeliten A gas and condensate field commenced in October (nearly six months earlier than scheduled 💪) - reinforcing our growth and value creation on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.  The achievement was celebrated by the Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland, authorities, partners and contractors during a recent visit to the ConocoPhillips operated Ekofisk. The Tommeliten A resource potential is estimated in the range of 120-180 million barrels of gas and condensate. 🇯🇵 💰 JERA to invest $32 billion in LNG, renewables and new fuels By fiscal year 2035, JERA Co., Inc. is targeting over 35 million tons in annual LNG transaction volumes. Each of those areas would receive 1 trillion to ¥2 trillion in investment over the decade, Japan's top power generator said, with emissions falling by at least 60% from 2013 and then reaching zero in 2050, in line with the national target. Consolidated net profit of JERA, also Japan's top LNG buyer, should reach ¥350 billion with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) at ¥700 billion. #LNG #JERA
