Tiada impian yang terlalu tinggi apabila ia demi kebaikan bersama. Jvy Mius, seorang porter berpengalaman di Gunung Kinabalu, mempunyai impian yang sederhana namun penuh makna. Beliau mengimpikan tempat penginapan yang lebih selesa, lengkap dengan tilam dan katil baru untuk dirinya dan komuniti di sana.   Berkat sumbangan dan usaha sukarelawan daripada kakitangan PETRONAS, sempena ulang tahun ke-50 PETRONAS, impian Jvy untuk mewujudkan tempat berehat yang selesa, memberi manfaat kepada rakan-rakan porter dan malim gunung, akhirnya menjadi kenyataan. 50 tahun dahulu, PETRONAS sendiri merupakan sebuah impian yang menjadi kenyataan disebabkan oleh sokongan dan keyakinan anda yang sentiasa bersama kami. Demi usaha untuk memenuhi impian insan-insan yang memerlukan, kami percaya, bahawa segalanya mampu kita capai apabila kita bersama. Tonton projek PETRONAS 50 Dreams bersempena dengan ulang tahun ke-50 PETRONAS. A dream becomes more meaningful if it can be shared. Jvy Mius, a seasoned Mount Kinabalu porter, dreams of a more comfortable and welcoming accommodation with new mattresses and proper beds for himself and his community. For PETRONAS' 50th Anniversary, we set out to realise Jvy's dream for his community, and to show our appreciation to them. 50 years ago, PETRONAS was a dream come true because of the belief and support of those around us. By paying attention to the dreams of others, we are reminded that all things are possible, together. PETRONAS, in collaboration with the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC), is proud to spearhead the establishment of the Southeast Asia Methane Emissions Technology Evaluation Centre (METEC) — the first of its kind in the region.   The Southeast Asia METEC is set to drive impactful methane emissions abatement efforts across the region. By bringing together local and regional experts, the centre will lead in the measurement, monitoring, reporting and verification of methane emissions while also fostering research and development initiatives.   The METEC will be strategically located at two leading institutions in Malaysia: INSTEP - Institut Teknologi Petroleum PETRONAS in Terengganu, and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Perak.   #PETRONAS #PassionateAboutProgress

PETRONAS, in collaboration with ASEAN energy sector operators, government agencies, and international organisations, launched the ASEAN Energy Sector Methane Leadership Program 2.0 (MLP 2.0) to further drive methane emissions reduction efforts in the ASEAN region.   Themed “Turning Capacity into Action”, MLP 2.0 is a continuation of the inaugural Methane Leadership Program that progressed from June 2023 to October 2024. As part of PETRONAS’ Planting Tomorrow pilot signature activation, we hosted workshops on sustainability awareness, upskilling, business and marketing across Bintulu, Sarawak; Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; and Kemaman, Terengganu from May to July. Over 300 participants took part in these sessions, where they learned about waste collection, waste segregation and the potential to convert waste into valuable products that could generate income for their communities. Through hands-on sessions on upcycling used cooking oil into scented soaps and candles, transforming plastics into creative souvenir products, and repurposing textiles, we are empowering local communities to actively contribute to sustainability while reinforcing our sustainable energy future. #PETRONAS #PassionateAboutProgress #PETRONASPlantingTomorrow

Langkasuka Basin, named after the ancient kingdom in the Malay Peninsula, refers to the Pre-Tertiary sedimentary basin in the Straits of Melaka, Malaysia. This basin is emerging as a promising frontier, analogous to the Canning Basin in NW Australia. The discovery of Singa Besar-1 in the Permian prompted further exploration into the deeper Pre-Tertiary layers by PETRONAS. The fast-track data of PETRONAS’ newly acquired Multi-Client 2D seismic data revealed multiple tilted fault block structures and previously unseen features as compared to legacy seismic. With good source rock quality, proven reservoirs and potential traps, seize the chance to invest in Blocks PM320 and PM321 inside Langkasuka Basin, offered via Malaysia Bid Round (MBR) 2024.
