Bringing Reality to Light for federal contractors today. But first, do you know where this video was taken? You’ll recognize it as a little town In Pennsylvania from the movie, ‘Groundhog Day.’ In reality, it’s not In Pennsylvania - it’s actually Woodstock, IL and every spot in the movie is pretty much within this square. The fleabag hotel is the Opera House and Ned’s Corner is marked with a plaque and so are all the other points from the movie house, the bed and breakfast home, and even the spot where he steps into the puddle. If you’re a fan of the movie, you may want to see this town, but you need to do your homework before you spend a weekend in Pennsylvania. Same thing in Federal Contracting. RFPs, RFIs, Sources Sought can be, well, deceptively vague, unless you were part of the crew, creating it before it was released. So you’re responding to something that may go into a black hole - never to see the light of day - until the project is awarded or finished. Or, you may respond to something you think is a fit, miraculously win, then walk into a scenario that is completely different than expected which could be good or could be devestating. So Do Your Homework. If you don’t know how to be part of the crew writing the story(scope), then hire someone to show you how to learn what’s happening, behind the scenes. ——————————————- Post & Video by Eileen Kent The Federal Sales Sherpa, shedding LIGHT on the realities of federal contracting

PA may not have the actual Groundhog Day town...but we do have Hershey chocolate (with a free tour!). And we do hold the record of being, I think, the ONLY state to refer to ourselves by the abbreviation instead of full name...lots of fame here :)
