Today, several Triangle Veterans had the honor of meeting with the team at Charlie Mike, a local non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of veterans grappling with unseen wounds of combat, one veteran at a time. Charlie Mike's mission resonates with the belief that standing together at home, just as they did during wartime, can facilitate each other's journey back to a fulfilling life. During our visit, we delved into one of Charlie Mike's cornerstone programs: the Canine Battle Buddy Training Program. Dogs have proven to be invaluable companions in addressing emotional needs, with documented outcomes showing that emotional support and therapy animals significantly contribute to emotional healing and stability. These benefits are directly linked to reduced suicide rates and the cultivation of a renewed sense of purpose in veterans' lives. The team at Charlie Mike identifies and rescues dogs from animal shelters, transforming them into "battle buddies" trained to support veterans. In this process, they are not only saving the lives of these animals but also offering vital support to veterans in need. This initiative is just one of the three pillars of support that Charlie Mike offers to veterans. At Triangle, we take pride in our partnership with Charlie Mike and remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting their noble cause. If you know a veteran who could benefit from their services, please share the link with them. The battle against unseen wounds is often silent and unnoticed, but together, we can help Charlie Mike in their mission to save veterans' lives, one at a time. https://loom.ly/deOq13g

Working with clients to help them achieve their life and financial goals | Wealth Planning | Tax efficient solutions
Providing financial education and wellbeing programmes is crucial - and to be able to give something back to our Armed Forces is something we are very proud of. #financialwellbeing #helpforheroes #financialplanning
It’s Armed Forces Week, a chance for us all to say thank you to those serving and to veterans from all generations. One of the ways we show our thanks is through our work with Help for Heroes, a charity that provides veterans with tailored and holistic support for their physical and mental health, along with their welfare and social needs. Our employees and advisers give their time particularly to supporting their financial wellbeing programmes for veterans, as well as fundraising and volunteering. In 2020, we co-developed our Financial Wellbeing programme with Help for Heroes for their Recovery College and every year since, our volunteers have helped deliver the sessions to veterans. More recently, we've funded the delivery of Veterans Moving Forwards, a course delivered to veterans in their own communities through their local NHS Recovery College. This course enables veterans to consider how their military experiences may still have an impact on their life and find a more positive approach to move forwards and manage day to day life.

In life there is always a gap that needs filled for various reasons. In the Veteran, Gold Star Family, and Active Duty Military Community there is a HUGE gap that can lead to suicide. Congress tries to legislate it away by throwing more "federal money" (our tax dollars) at the problem to the point that the VA budget is over 452 BILLION DOLLARS a year. Yet we still have a minimum 22 Veterans a day committing suicide. Then we have the active duty military and Gold Star Families that barely even get discussed. THIS IS WHERE THE VETERANS RANCH STEPS IN. The Veterans Ranch steps in to fill that gap by providing free equine therapy services to these great #Americans that more than deserve it. They gave up and sacrificed more than most can even imagine including a loved one for our freedoms. By filling this gap we provide the life changing services necessary to keep more people coming home to their families one more day and watch their kids grow up. So, help us step into and fill this gap by going to www.theveteransranch.org and contributing at least $22 a month. Let's all be the wall that keeps people from thinking about suicide. Let's all be the ones that wrap our arms around this amazing community and let them know that they matter. So, go to the website above #today and start stepping into that gap. 22 to ZERO

Well done to Priority One Armada who held a Live 300th Episode over on their social media channels as a fundraiser for ONE and our charitable aims. The main organiser is a veteran “As a former soldier myself who has suffered some hard times since leaving the service, it is really great to see an organization that truly helps those veterans who have also fallen on hard times. We want to support this cause, because we believe in a better future for everyone across the globe and as Star Trek fans, we believe this future is possible.” They are only €91 off their target of €1701 (do you recognise why that’s the target?) Donate here: https://lnkd.in/e-Ks3JEy Well done to Priority One Armada and to all the donors involved we really appreciate your support. ONE’s primary objective is to support the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in its Veterans Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans, in particular Mental Health advice, through its nationwide network of Branches and Veterans Support Centres.
