With Sławomir Kaczorowski, we are looking for experienced .NET developers to join our brand-new project with an enterprise client from the EU. I recently talked to Sławek as the future direct manager of the new engineers. 👉 From your point of view, what are the most important characteristics of a person joining your team? I have a growth mindset. I like it when people are responsible and know their goals. This comes with a result orientation—I personally focus on things that give value to the company, clients, and anyone else. I don't like to spend time on tasks just for work's sake. To the team, I give a credit of trust and enter only when we have a difficult situation that needs to be resolved together. 👉 How big is your team right now? Almost twenty engineers, including seven .NET developers with different levels of experience. 👉 So, there is someone to consult! Do you have any initiatives encouraging knowledge exchange in your team? I do, but I don't want to have a special procedure for that. When there is a need to help each other, I organize it internally in the team. I ask more senior people to mentor others for specific reasons. I am fostering this kind of culture of mutual support. 👉 Is there anything you would like to highlight about our company specifically? People here can generally feel autonomy in a positive way. Suggestion for Job Seekers & the reminder that I am still hiring The good news: LinkedIN works! I made this post yesterday: https://lnkd.in/gSii47eZ The results so far are: 1750+ Post Impressions, 100+ Applications as well as another 50+ .Net Developers emailing me directly within 24 hours. This is fantastic! The bad news: Not a single one of those applications or emails highlighted WPF or ASP.NET experience (two of the key must-haves mentioned throughout the job description). The Suggestion: If you want to separate yourself from the rest of the market, take the time to highlight those key skills you posses and continue to reach out directly with that warm email. Bonus Suggestion: Its OK to use Chat-GPT/AI to ASSIST with your email, but I can confidently say more than 75% of emails had the same verbiage/flow/content. So... try to write your own email, fine-tune with ChatGPT, and then re-read it to ensure your own personal flair is in that language. It will make a difference in separating your application from the rest. Last, I am still looking for a WPF/ASP.NET Developer for a 6M Contract.

Position: Sr. Android BSP Developer Location: Remote Duration: 6 months+ (Long Term) The automation and control solutions for buildings and homes let people controlentire environments with the push of a button, integrating systems such as A/V,lighting, shading, IT, security, BMS, and HVAC to provide greater comfort,convenience, and security. All the products are designed and built to worktogether as a cohesive system, enabling customers to monitor, manage, andoperate everything from the cloud. Must have experience with: -Experience with developing Android framework services, Android Nativeapplications (JNI / NDK), or system applications (C /Java). -Customizing Google’s AOSP and debugging issues within it. -Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) development, Linux Device Tree. -Working with source control tools such as Git, Gerrit, and GitHub, and withAndroid command line tools such as ADB and fast boot. It will be aplus: -Experience inthe following areas: BSP/Board Support Package, Android/Linux Kernel,Bootloader, Graphics, and Audio/Video Drivers. -Familiarity with the Android security model (SE Linux policy). -Embedded Linux device driver development and customization(includingoptimizations, bug fixing, and adding new functionality) -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams. -Must be persistent, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be willing towork with others to find solutions that avoid project stalls. -Must be responsible, self-motivated, creative, have a solid work ethic, andhave the desire to produce a quality product Working Schedule: • There are 2 engineers from the JSS side in this sub-team. One engineer is located in Ukraine (EEST time zone) working from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm EEST, very rarely he has to work until 9:00 pm EEST. Another one in Poland is working from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm CEST. They provide overlap with the client of about 4-5 hours. From the client’s side, the TechLead manages the sub-team (EST time zone); • Ideally, a candidate should start from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm(EEST time zone), but it depends on the location of the candidate. The mainthing is that the new developer can synchronize with the JSS team (engineersfrom Ukraine and Poland) and have an overlap of 4-5 hours with the Tech Leadfrom the client’s side.

On the 21st of November, a client I'd worked with exclusively since 2018 asked me to fill three roles for them. 1. Infrastructure Engineer (Never worked one before) 2. Senior .NET developer (Bread and butter role for me) 3. Senior Angular Developer (Worked these roles before but didn't have a big network) Fourteen days after starting, I'd placed an infrastructure engineer. I finished for Christmas on the 19th of December, so with candidates in the process, restarted in January. On 5th January (32 days after starting), the senior .NET role was filled. On 19th January (46 days after starting), the trickier senior Angular dev role was filled with someone who could start immediately. Over the 6.5 weeks I'd worked on the roles, I'd sent 15 CVs. The client had a two-stage process and interviewed 13 of them, filling all the roles from that pool. How does that compare with the PSL you have at the moment? If this is much better than your suppliers deliver, what are you waiting for? Wouldn't you prefer a recruiter who can deliver high-quality, engaged people faster? Wouldn't you like to enjoy it instead of being gripped with an icy dread every time you know you have to recruit?
