For this month's eLeaderHUB live webinar, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting Shelley Besse, Chief Credit Officer of First West Credit Union and Chair on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Credit Union Association, for a thought-provoking discussion on the power of influence. We loved having you join us, Shelley! Thank you for all you do to develop other leaders in the system and for sharing your wisdom and experience with all of us. So many great insights were shared on how to influence effectively! Here are a few of the favourites shared by the eLeaderHUB community: - Focus on relationship-building to build trust and connection. - Gaining the trust of others is key to influence. - Lead with humility. - Opt for inspiration-based influence over fear-based influence. - Watch out for influence derailers, i.e., lack of consistency, sharing misinformation, clinging to the past, and micromanaging. - Show vulnerability. - Connect with others on a personal level.  - Have fun in your interactions.  - Get to know people as individuals. - Show up with a positive attitude. - Be vulnerable, it's ok. - Be open to what you can start, stop, and continue doing for others. - Show compassion and avoid assumptions. - Inspire and encourage others rather than control or micro-manage. - Build relationships across the organization and system. A big thank you to everyone who joined our final eLeaderHUB live webinar of 2023! We hope you all had a fantastic year of learning, and we can't wait to welcome you back next month as we dive into the exciting topic of vision to kick off 2024! 🚀 #Leadership #Influence #eLeaderHUB #2023WrapUp #2024Vision
