I find this a bit hard to believe but here ya go: in Murcia, Spain there's a LIVE #MCS charger out in the wild, at Grupo Disfrimur anyone with a capable truck can drive through this 1440 kW (yes, you read that right) charging station. I'm thinking, when are we heading down Tobias Wagner ;-) Marvelous to see this, so far from "home", the time of electrifying big rigs has not only been around for years now, we're getting ready to Level Up the Fast Charging Experience, considerably. Now can anyone tell me the kWh price?! #alwaysbecharging ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Congrats to all involved! #MEGAWATT #CHARGING #electrictruck #truckcharging #fastcharging #infrastructure #connectingeurope 🇪🇺 Iberdrola | bp pulse

The new normal Felix Hamer? ⚡️⚡️🚛🚛 now what we really need is to stop spending on truck charging (regardless of power level) using CCS couplers and pivot the inlets on trucks yesterday to avoid stranded assets.

I am happy and jealous. Dear US colleagues and industry - why is it so much slower to roll out MW chargers in the US?

I'm not convinced that MCS isn't a solution looking for a problem, until Level 5: Autonomy. If the trucks are efficient, RTD charging should be sufficient. Just because a battery can be charged at a megawatt, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do at 33% utilisation factor, based on the current non-autonomous model. It hammers the battery and reduces the asset life.

Wonder if anyone is brave / stupid enough to ICE this bay? 😧

You pay high rate for the 24/7 reserved power of 1MW, even when no truck is charging. Gaps between charging will cost you a fortune. Great example, where a battery storage can be useful to cover the peak and lower the alocared power.

Getting to the point where 1.21GW doesn’t seem too mental!

A very important step in the field of electric mobility that brings us closer to our goal of decarbonizing transportation. Thank you very much for giving visibility to this project, Felix Hamer 💙

¡Que bueno! ¡Sería muy intresante combinar estos cargadores con baterías de vanadio redox de flujo que podemos proporcionar como Gas to Charger con nuestros socios y partners! www.gastocharger.com
