This in a nutshell is what we are trying to achieve through the work we do and we are only able to carry this work out with your help. We want to grow and be able help more children and hence by having a clear vision we can aim for that. Where possible we try to work with local businesses to make the wishes happen for the children as we want to support local businesses and showcase the amazing businesses we have locally. Also the children are not all able to travel far and being able to make the wishes happen with as much ease for the family is imperative for us. How can you provide a sense of safety for foster youth in your care? One of the most important roles that you will play as a foster parent is to ensure that the youth in your care truly feel like they are welcomed and are in a safe environment. It can be unsettling and jarring to move to a new place, and for our youth, this type of change might also be triggering or upsetting. That is why it is so vital to stick to routines, have a clear and open line of communication, and always keep things consistent whenever possible. However, should you ever need to implement a change, try to give the youth a heads-up. It's all about building trust and ensuring they know they're valued and understood. That's why we choose to run our Befriending service: to give older individuals the chance to converse with other individuals and feel connected to society, especially when they live alone.
